Well ,

Normally I don't get rattled (no pun intended) about to much. But , I am big time allergic to things. Bees, Wasps , YellowJackets , Scorpions , even fire ants if I get bit enuff. SO a rattlesnake bite would not be good under the BEST of conditions of not being allergic to things.

It just shook me up for some reason and I had no idea how bad til I just couldn't get that sight ouf my head of that Rattlesnake and a haed as big as my fist.

Ahh....it's all over. I can tell you that from now on , buds hit balls out of the general area of a fairway....as far as Red's concerend its LOST .

I take it none of you gents pin the snakes head with a stick and toss the snake in the nearest bush then get on with your lives? You need to try Oakland gang bangers out for a threatening manner. I can understand shooting to save your life at that point. Snake on a trail buzzing to warn you off...except for the Mamba in Africa, humans can out run all snakes on land.

Snakes make good pets. As do scorpions, spiders, and most other arachnids, insects, and reptiles. Just got to know enough to be careful. Also, it helps to not have no fear of them. Fear gets more people killed than the critters themselves. Most snakebite victims die of shock, not symptoms of the venom. The chances of getting bitten are slim, and the chances of dying are slim to none if you remain calm.

I did golf course construction for awhile, no rattle snakes but plenty of water moccasins. Those were the least of our worries, the damn gators were the ones that scared the crap out of us.
