geuss what.... i just foud that the little bastad has chewed through half of the cable on my spare joystick...and the telephone wire i use for internet and phone(only the phone part, lucky for me. now fixed with twisting and tape)

can you believe that?

i kept the sucker alive and protected him from my cruel family and this is how he repays me...

im off to buy killer mouse traps right now.

my family member is laughing his arse off at me.

but i still think i agree with bruv, chewing a joystick cable is punishable with death.

if possible i will avoid this and try to relocate him peacefully as you have suggested furball. no promises though.

he is cute tho.

Hiya Bat,

Try feeding him enough to satisfy him on an ongoing basis; gotta taste better than bat fingerprints on a joystick wire.

Seriously, if he lets you fed him and you like him; then catch him and take him far far away or set up a cage to keep him in as a pet.

thanks tigeress, that has mostly been my intention all along. he has taken biscuit crumbs out of my fingers. he even worked his way half way through the 'humane' trap, grabbed the bait, using his back legs to hold the trapdoor open and smoothly shuffled back out.

i cannot catch him with my hands because he is too fragile and i would have to be extrememly quick and accurate not to hurt him badly.

its a torment to have to dislodge him from my house but since i posted this he has chewed clean through the phone line again and half way through the internet cable. the joysticks are on a shelf out of reach.

I have a set of turntables, mixing desk, computer, lamp, phone etc etc all running allong the skirting. without a complete re-wire he is going to cost me alot of time and money. i have to do something but im running out of options. ill will let you know if i can sort it out without bloodshed.

Please don't kill it.   Capture it, and bring it over to my house.   It will give my pet cat many hours of enjoyment.   She will play and play with it.  She is just fascinated with mice.

Here is a photo of a mouse resting and taking a nap, in between play sessions with my cat:

get creative.

Find a big spider, put it in a 2X2" box.

Sit in computer chair.

Permeate the bread crumb with a hallucinogenic.

Feed to mouse.

Throw mouse into a box with the spider.

Videotape it and put it on Youtube.

Bat, I'll be watching this thread. I expect to see a dead mouse within a week!

Don't forget, they have friends! Where there is one, there is many! :noid

Long ago I had a rubber powered foam scale me-109; I made an enclosed cockpit in it that was just the right size for a mouse.  It was really surprising how much tougher the plane was than the mice pilots.  Perhaps it would have helped if I would have built some sort restraint system.  One poor little critter actually ended up paralyzed; at least he could still drag himself around with his front legs.  Some of his brothers died in the same plane.  I should of felt bad for them, but then again they were flying under the Nazi flag.

lol

im going to borrow the misses' digital camera and get a shot of him.  i changed from my old bedroom to the smaller back bedroom last month because my brother has gone to work a season in a ski resort and the room i was in is big enough to be a geust room with two seperate beds.

when i was in the bigger room he had a black fur wife. the mouse not my brother. they went on to have an infant that would also come out. its funny to see a young mouse. they have adult sized heads and a miniature body, they look quite bizzare.

around 3 months ago it would seem the wife and child perished somehow because they just stopped coming out at night altogether, leaving the lone original male with only me for company again. a sad tale for a sad tail.

i just dont want to kill him. he is the definition of everything i wish i could be in our society. a free spirit living life as nature intended. call me wierd but i dont want to see him dead.

how can a mouse invoke such a deep emotion of respect in my mind? i dont know, but he has earnt my respect and has handled the tough lot life delt him better than i probably could have.

use high frequency sounds to get rid of him.

we got two for our house and haven't seen or heard from one since.

it's an eviction rather than an extermination.

much better all around.
