twentyfo.. you are the one who said he was making fun of "black culture"... now.. if you are going to say that ignorant negros do not sound as he was saying they do then it is impossible to talk to you as you are not based in reality and/or have no sense of humor.

white people get made fun of all the time.. why shouldn't negros or asians or mexicans.. why should it be hands off for one race? is that not racism?

But that's all a matter of opinion. Something that wouldn't incite you to anger doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't incite someone else to anger.

Good point....

But Big Al seems to find anger when he wants....not when its always needed. He's cherry pickin....Inciting anger. Working people into a frenzy. Strange how you never hear any thing substantial out of his mouth other than griping about what someone else says. Most of the time it's said in an out of the way no harm meant way.

Anyone who thinks Al Sharpton is the Champion for some big Civil Rights movement is just a sheep.....a Sheep following a wolf in my opinion.

So in that case the anouncers should sit still and stay quiet so as not to say something that may be turned into a death causing riot by an ignorant individual.

Personally I live in America land of the free..... what I say in no way hurts anyone..... if someone is so thin skinned as to be hurt by words all I can say is toughen up buttercup!

Don Imus....Uses words that are EVERYDAY words used in a ceatin community.....Fired...Made to bow down and the alter of Al.....Because Al made it a big deal.

The VERY person the word was used about says it's a non issue....Nope..not good enuff for Al....Announcer suspeneded.

And NOW.....The Clintons are on the defensive and are having to do damage control for saying something that AL thinks is racially charged.

The very president that a certain community EMBRACED as thioer own....now turning on them because Al says so.

It's not racial words.....its words turned racial by a bigot.

My point exactly laz2....listen to the way you phrase your sentences. Who refers to African Americans as Negroes anymore? It is not a derogatory term, but rather a term that reflects how out of touch with reality you are. How about this, go up to any African American and call them a Negro...see what happens. It's 2008, not the 60's for god sake.

You know, it's funny. Ebonics' was made an official language during the Clinton years, and they drop the N-bomb all the time, as often as Real english uses pronouns. It's an essential part of the language, it seems.

But they don't want you to speak it. THen declares that what people say should have consoquences and people should ALL be held accountable for what they say. Except him of course.
