Starbucks to close all U.S. stores...

Well when I saw the beginning of the headline I almost jumped for joy BUT alas it was too good to be true since I read the rest of the headline.

Starbucks to close all U.S. stores for training

Top two reasons why I hate corporate coffee.

#1 My wife goes by there and gets one every day.
#2 People don't need to get a half caf latte w/ extra cinnamon, cream and a splash of chocolate to have good coffee.

I will add one more. I get tired of going all over the world and seeing American businesses trying to force our business practices on other nations. Let the Mexicans sell their own coffee and not some ground up Sumatran stuff.

Three-hour shutdown designed to educate, energize 135,000 workers

thats one heck of a coffee break... which now I have the question,...if you work at Starbucks, do you get a coffee break?....

About as fancy as I get with my coffee is sometimes I'll dump a packet of Swiss Miss or Nestle's hot chocolate in my cup... drink 4 cups of that back to back...

I'm not at all impressed with Starbucks. Their coffee doesn't taste that great (I don't get any of the frilly stuff... just the regular 'ole coffee).  Frankly, 7-11 coffee tastes far better.

My favorite coffee shop is in one of our little neighboring towns ~ little mom & pop place. I'll drive the 10 miles to get there before I drive 2 blocks to Starbucks.

You americans need to understand the greatness of Tim Horton's

Only a select few of our american cousins are allowed to experience the orgasmic quality of extra large double doubles.

No, but having been to Houston I can't disagree.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

On the rare occasion I order at Starbucks (I like a local place called Dutch Bros, it's pretty popular in my neck of the woods) I order a  medium.  When they try and correct me with "Ok, so that's a venti caramel mocha" or whatever, I cock my head to the side, look at them blankly, then say, "No thanks, just a medium."

I enjoy watching the look on their faces as they struggle with the decision on whether to 'educate' me, express disgust at my ignorance, some combination of the two, or finally to just acknowledge that a venti or tall or whatever is actually just a 'Medium'.

I can't afford to dump tea into a harbor (it's expensive!) so I've gotta find SOMETHING to do.
