I did set the messages to friends only, but I sometimes get up to a dozen spam friend requests a day. I've logged in after a week or two and had a full page or two of "This profile no longer exists" friend requests, and then the "Check out my ault pics" ones that haven't been deleted yet.
Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

I deleted my MySpace account a couple months ago on the same day all the other cool kids did the same.  It's just not useful anymore.

What I am looking to do is use it to network between several sights and contacts in order to try and get a friend's album heard.... when he's done with it.

Thanks for the adds everyone! And thanks for the link for changing the profile.

I'd love to get my music on there, but I'm still quite the novice.  I only have one original song, but it ain't finished, and I have no way to get it up once it is finished.

Actually, I've never even played it yet...

Lasersailer

If want, I could host it for you. I don't have a way that you could directly download/upload to my web host yet, but I could post it on their and you could link to it. I may try to figure out a way to get an account log on my website.

I'd love to hear them.

I don't see the point in all the BS people throw on there, the simple way works for me. It also a lot easier to read and less distracting...

Know what you mean.

My wife has one and I only rarely look at it.
she has so much crap on there it actually slows my computer to a crawl.

not to mention half the text is almost unreadable because of how it blends in with the background..
i myself while I signed up.
I never botherd to do anything with it.

Too many kiddies and with all the bad press its gotten. I dont need that kind of aggrivation.

LOL Dred, those people that set the background image so that it clutters all their text are funny. What are they thinking?

I'd set it up like LEDPIG did his. I hate sights that automatically start playing music. That really pisses me off.

I got overruled on my company website, so we have an annoying commercial the auto feed. I made them put an  off button on it though.

The people and sights I am going to network together are going to know what it's about, not just blindly forced to hear songs. :)

And I think Myspace is a good tool for something like that.

For anyone that might be interested:
The album is not a joke or an amateur production. It's a radio quality, professional album with real singers and pro musicians. He may get signed to an independent label we don't have illusions about selling tons of albums or even breaking even.

However, I am involved in such a way that I am in on the action if it does well.

Man, I could have so helped you out. I just sold my Line6 Toneport on ebay.

You could buy a Line6 Toneport UXII for 200 bucks at Guitar center or even cheaper on ebay. It has everything you need to record, including the hardware. Really a great amp modeling section for guitar, bass, vocals and lots of effects.

If you want vocals, you'd of course need a mic. But this is a USB interface with all you need.

Dred, I went there and it froze my browser and played somewhere over the rainbow, lol.

I am using Firefox though, and it doesn't like some stuff on Myspace. I saw the pics (barley). Nice family!

I gots one, but not sharing :p

really I only use it to get info about favorite bands, and family members. I plan on changing it to a music myspace, but I am lazy and only go there about once or twice a month.

google myspace layouts and you'll find thousands of annoying way to bling your out NUKE :lol

seriously though I used one, then following the elcheapo HTML manually edited mine for a smooth look I like.

I just started one myself for the same reason.

Half the time I can't figure out how to edit it.  It looks very bland compared to some of the stuff I've seen.
a tip... the player you made, add a volume adjustment.
