mt.. No, I don't know how many japs find the term offensive. I grew up in LA in a neighborhood that was mostly ex-internment camp japs and blue collar workers in the 50's. I don't recall it being offensive then.
Now the area (Hawthorne) is mostly all negros.
As for the jap cars and no one buying them because they are so smurfy.. I thought we were talking about the hot rods.. the sports cars with HP... the supercars... grocery getters and commuters don't count.. those are for people who don't like cars.
