I saw one of these the 1st time in  1980 at a vintage race at Laguna Seca. It was the W2. After trails and turmoil and losing the company and regaining it, its back in the newest creation WX-8 at the 2007 auto show and is supposed to be a production car late 2008, with the Veyron as its prey. WOOOT!

the take over folks, mega-tech, made the ugliest thing out of the vector the M12 and then went out of business.


I would guess when reacquired some of the same tooling may have been used to make the wx-8

It's a bit curious that the Shelby uses almost 400 hp more than the Koenigsegg to go 6 mph faster...

sounds about right ! takes alot of stuff to go that fast and the downforce pressures are probably quite a bit different on the two cars

I always thought the Vector was ugly, as well as the Countach, and Testarossa, (the 80's version, not to be confused with the 50's Testa Rossa which I think is a nice looking car).

Cars should not look like wedges of cheese. They need to have curves, flowing lines, and the right sound. Who cares how fast it is if it's fubar smurfy.

1973 Dodge Challenger, 340, bumped cam, hi flow exhaust manifolds, 727 torqueflight auto trans,3 speed slapstick shifter.
not the fastest car out there but what a ride it was

i owned it for 6 years,took it back and forth cross country a couple times, topped it out at 145 MPH

i went from derry NH to florida in 17 hours.

if you look closely see the dirt "track" behind? it was very fun going around that with the speedo saying 70, side ways what a blast this car was.

the girl in the middle is now 14 so ya it was a bunch a years ago!!

Well it not really street legal... but it's got most wooped in the HP department ..too bad they don't show what it can really do
