Embarassing moments

About a week ago I was flying about in a Yak-9T at about 8k looking for nothing in particular, when I see a P-39 completely leveled out at probably 6k by a bish base.  I dive in and get some extra speed.  Creep in behind him and let loose with the 37mm and knock his tail clean off.  I keep behind him and don't break (stupid move) the guy's 39 flips around without a tail and knocks off my wing with his banana cannon.  We both go spiraling to the ocean, probably both laughing too.

I did the same thing to a NIKI once. I was really PO'ed.

Once I took up some Ar234s and like ROX I forgot to uncheck the formation box. I was showing someone them, and I told them that there were guns that fired w/o a gunner. I showed him it shooting, and when I looked back after i had turned on my RATOs I see 2 drones on fire from my shooting. Lost them.

  ThndrEgg had a high alt B17 mission going so I figure I'll strap on drop tanks to my beautiful F4U-4 and play escort.  we get to like 25K play with a few 262's but no kills for me. By this time I was down to 20K and getting low on gas so I turn for home.  Cruising home at 400 some MPH I get half way and look down and 5K below me was a couple reds messing with a green so I think goody I'll dive in real fast and they won't know what hit em.   

 Well I dove in being an idiot I never chopped throttle and I zipped right on through the dead center of the action at 550 to 600 MPH and couldn't pull out LOL.  Well that F4U-4 holds together real well in real fast dives, even if you can't pull out.

I've had two things happen that were mentioned but couldn't remember until I saw those.

I shot the tail off pony and he started to 'leaf' and as I was passing by him, he lets loose his guns and gets nice kill shot on my pilot. I was 


This happened tonight - It was slow fights again so I decided to up LA7 and head over to stir up some trouble. I saw box of KI67s (or 61s, always get those two mixed up) upping so I figured okay, easy kills. I'm coming in at 10K as I usually do if I am in pony. Well I dove in, cut throttle, blew wing off one and realized I wasn't going to make it time - nothing like hitting the ground at 600+ MPH to ruin your night.

Most embarrassing moments:  Anytime I try to fly a P38 ... or maybe that's just humbling.

I was in a zero with a couple of little bombs.  Got to enemy VBase to help with the capture. There was a GV guarding the maproom, so I figured I'd drop some iron on him. I chopped throttle and started down. When I tried to release my bombs, my canons fired...I was so PO'd that I had forgotten to switch secondary to bombs, that I forgot to pull up.  Augered right next to the maproom. We all had a laugh at that one.

well if you have ever see the memphis bell this happened to me i was in a b17 mission in a formation with my buddy  and a 109 comes in at 500mph/ and/ or./ dot/lol i meants/ knots and my gunner shoots of the tail of him and flys towards me and my buddy I scream into the mic to break hard so i did losing my wings and the same for my buddy turns out the 109 did't even come close to use and it hit the poor old goon down at 8k taking of it tail they were POED!!!!!

My favorite is to be engaging fighters in the tail gun of my 26s and jump to bombsight for final run and instead of dropping my bombs I fire the 50s...it's that whole secondary fire thingy that seems to plague everyone.

A few nights ago I was returning to a cv to land my kills in a F6F (3 or 4). I lower my tailhook and gear, start to lower throttle and POW smack right into the rear of the boat.

I took up a 262 several months ago (i never fly them for the following reason). After netting a few kills on low bombers, goons, etc trying to take a port I decide to go after a formation of 26s at about 3k of the deck. I chop throttle and dive from around 10k. I get to around d600 and pull the stick a little bit more for some extra lead and make a nice little divot in the sand below the bombers. I misjudged my speed and compressed the darn thing and never even got to fire at the bombers. I bet he was amused though....

was in the DA not too long ago and i noticed a lone Zeke heading home.

i only had about 50 rounds in the machine gun of my spixteen (noobish mistake) and i go to dive in on the guy.

just as i pull the trigger, a C-hog flies up RIGHT in front of me.

all of my ammo goes into the C-hog, leaving me screwed as my now-empty spixteen gets shot up by the C-hog.

forgot who the C-hog pilot was though, had some good laughs on the "all" channel.

My former squad and I upped ju87's for what ended up being a very long mission, after the 1st base we where going to bomb was taken, we continued on to the next in line....unfortunatly that base was well on the way to being captured and the guy in commeand was trying desperatly to keep all the rooks from taking out anymore targets than they had to.
As we had been in the air for over 30 min we decided to level the sukker with our 1800 kilogams...the guy was mad to say the least, and we sumarily augerd to avoid our identitys being revealed...but he called me out on country channel for being a love muffin....

I was flying around and found some bombers afk.  I started video running figured fool around a bit and would be real funny video .   Well after a few passes my frame rates go to heck and I ram them.  never showed that video.
