One way to avoid overpopulation is once they start moving around. reachinto the tank and crush the little suckers.
the fish will then eat the remains.
My Uncle used to breed fish for local petshops and thats what he usd to do.
Was pretty cool going over to his house as a kid as his basement was lined wall to wall ceiling ot floor on all 4 walls with fishtanks
ESPECIALLY if you have live plants, their wont be much left of plants if they reproduce.Dreidock has it right, crush them suckers. And watch what medication you use to treat anything which may pop up on your fish..ICk AKA..whitespot..as many medications for this parasite are copper based and copper kills snails.and while I am not worried about the snails dying from copper per se',,if you have quite a few snails in your tank when you treat with copper, they will pollute the tank ,which can kill your fish...
Anyone do live plants in their tanks?I have a 75 gallon with CO2 injection, and my java moss and java fern are getting WAYYYY out of hand, and I hate to just throw it away..I also have a few CRYPT balansae going nuts as well.have some CRYPT wendtii also.
