I respect that you like that stuff; but do not think that is punk.  Bubble-gum pop/punkish is the correct genre for that.  Blink used to be punk... waaay back in the day.

Did I say I was listening to punk?

Blink 182 isn't even around any more.

It's just what I grew up around, to me its "punk"

I dont like that 1970s stuff that is "real punk" because I didn't grow up listening to it (no offense). It's just what I grew up to and its what I like. Plus, I dont like that "hardcore punk" stuff that MXPX tries to copy off of.....  :aok

On a Eric Claption kick right now: From The Cradle.  But my CD is so old and scratched it skips on my favorite tune - It Hurts Me Too.

I have a promo copy of the disc.   I've listened to it a few times but it does nothing for me.   If you want it, it's yours.

You're really doing yourself a disservice by only listening to the music of the past 10-15 years.
Rock & Roll has been around for over 40 years and theres great stuff spanning that entire period.
I grew up listening to alternative rock/pop rock/punk rock of the late 90's/early '00''s, mainly Green Day (as I'm less than proud to admit today :lol)
A couple years ago one of my friends got me into Iron Maiden... very good music... browsed around a bit more... Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, AC/DC... all lots of cool music. Stayed in the late 70's/early 80's for the most part (I don't like much music past the mid-80's honestly). Even more recently I got into some even earlier music, some of the bands that really laid down the foundations of Rock. The Who, Cream, Pink Floyd, and especially Led Zeppelin. I love Led Zeppelin. Really unique, interesting stuff. Jimmy Page is an awesome guitar player and Robert Plant is an amazing vocalist.
I've never been able to get really into punk, as by definition it is very simplistic... and I like complicated music.
