If it's got a red icon it's a target.

I once creased a guys cranium with HE from a panzer. No kill even though I saw the flash right where his head was. hrm...

The only chute shooting I've done so far is popping goons dropped by a c47 while i was sittin' below with an osty.  Pop-pop-pop-pop...

I will try to get some real chute shooting in soon and film the action.

Rounded this one up:

Chute Shooting

Overall, I give it a 6.7.  The sortie was pretty cool with 5 pretty basic kills capped off by a chute at 3k just hanging there on the way home.  I even had time to comment on how irresistable the chute was... just hanging there... taunting me

Just to add some intrest in this sport, let's ask HTC to give chutes the ability to shoot back with a side arm!!!! Maybe just a little hand-held hispano....

Killing a chute shooter from my chute would make my day

I find this whole idea of a "contest" in very poor taste and utterly despisable.

Where do I sign up to take part?

Copied my reply to another thread to get more responses:

If you dont want to be shot in your shoot, dont bail.  If you bail, expect to be shot.  I dont shoot chutes but the only reason is that I dont want to waste ammo.

Frankly, these threads are inspiring me to change that habit and take it up as a game sport.

Any tips from the long time chute shooters?

Aim for the body, not the chute.  Chutes got dang tough around 1.05 or so.

Something satisfying about hitting them in freefall, before they pull the chute.

It's a very small file (70k), after Dingy's request started toggling the recorder on initial approach to try to get some good ones.

WTG Creamo!
Hartmann move over!
The Ace of Aces has spoken.

Fatty gets points for the freefall shot though.  Those are few and far between for me but oh they are satisfying, like a BBQ Pork Rind with extra BBQ powder on it!
