I really doubt that anyone, be it a proported Internet abusee or a lawyer, are going to be willing to put up the money to try to win a lawsuit over ch. 200 bantor.  After all, someone is going to have to pay for the attempt, and that means they'd have to believe they had a good chance of winning.

I wouldn't place that bet.

Every one just has to remember that there are at any one time between 50 - 600 players in an arena and they all see or hear your banter. Everything is recordable for posterity and if you can't say it in front of your kids or your grandma don't say it. :aok

Of course, in all honesty, I think the first case that'll happen will be Skuzzy going after HiTech on Monday for some W. Comp after he blows an artery looking at what we've all been up to this weekend :D

He'd stand a better chance suing for injury's after tripping over the server power cords  :D

I've never had a problem with Channel 200... Of course, I've never turned it on, either, but certainly I've never had any problems with it at all!

 :aok

Don't tune it and you won't see it.  I dont like seeing kids talk trash and cry, thats why I work on aircraft and not in a daycare.

HOW TRUE!

CH200 is not a great place to vent your frustrations after choosing poorly and getting beat for it. There are the people that cant accept that they can be beat at all and have to fling monkey poop or accuse people of cheating. Late evenings here in the US I choose to turn it off but it can be fun at times.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

I had a very minor disagreement with a fellow over 200 tonight.  We decided to go a few ammo loads in the TA and had an absolute blast.

He ended up winning most of them, so far as I can tell (you don't take damage in the TA), but what does that matter?  All I know is we were both having a great time, and I got a great future dueling partner and new friend out of the deal.

You might be suprised just how many of my friends in this game came about because of similar situations :)

As such I have no problem with the guys venting over 200 when they're being honest.  If they're venting about how they didn't get the good fight they wanted, and then you offer them one in the TA/DA, and they don't take you up on it, they aren't being very honest.

I like running into the sort of person I ran into tonight.  The other sort, I'm not so crazy about.

Wrag Do you get Eye strain from watching for Black Helicopters? Obviously you Have way more time to spend on this kinda thing than I, But if I miss my guess ,every computer  hooked to this silly game we all play has a off button, If some lawyer could PROVE injury from banter on 200 then I guess our world is lost and we should all sign up for sensitivity training classes offered by HTC.

LOLOL! Alpha males? How about computer dorks? Most alpha males won't spend hours upon hours playing cartoon games online, they are too busy working out at the gym with your wife or girlfriend.

VERY funny!!

Smack talk is one thing.........

Some of these people are resorting to personal insults.

Example : calling someone a MEANY or a BULLY is considerably different then calling them a tard.....

Pretty sure the legal system agrees on such things as well....

That IMHO is where the line needs to be drawn.

If you are UNABLE to see the difference then maybe you shouldn't say anything?

GRADUALLY lawyers and the legal system are COMING to your PC, in the name of PC?, and probably eventually AHII and other online gaming communities.

This is just the latest report on law and the NET.

I've posted others of a similar nature in the past.

So for those that think they can say whatever they want.....

you MIGHT want to start rethinking that.....

It COULD become expensive.......

And a couple of little thoughts for all...

Manners have a purpose....

They can keep you OUT of trouble.....

and they help society to work MORE smoothly...

BUT

If you can not or will not control yourself DON'T worry!

The world has MANY people that want, VERY BADLY, to control you!

They just need the excuse that YOU'RE gonna give em!

I wouldnt let some 30yo-stat-lover-but-otherwise-real-life-loser living in his parents basement or some juvenile punk kid get to you.  Yeah, it gets real annoying but ignore it as much as possible.  I do. Some people get the crap beat out of them in RL or have yet to have RL shoved in their face so they have to whip out their 3in e-noodle and stroke it to 4in by being rude and inconsiderate.

Although... I wouldnt mind a vote count to kick/perm-squelch someone.  Other online games have it for certain features.

i turn it off during US prime hours and most the time off all weekend, the endless weak smack and "runstang run" over and over kills brain cells.
