Ummm... besides protecting themselves? I think chasing you keeps them from getting killed.

Any competent pilot with a brain can evade a 262 with a simple jink. He doesn't need to chase for 30 minutes straight. Absolutely no need.  I won't hear this "staying alive" rubbish.

who laughs at their own jokes?

On topic: 262s are pretty fragile. Was shot down in the snapshot by about 3 50s to the tail from a P47 with no wing.

Probably because of the speeds they're constantly at. When you take a Spitfire, you might get it up to 400 in a sortie, but in a 262, thats your average speed in a sorte, 400+ :aok

whats with the pansy 262s?
1 ping PW and wing gets ripped off EVERY single time.
Are perk ride that much easier to kill than the rest?
why waste your perks?

Anyone else having this issue or am i the only one

only time i've encountered a 262 was months ago when i was actually in LW. he kept tryin to bnz me in my spixteen. on one of his passes, i managed to get my nowe round fast enough to pop off a quick burst. and yes, large important parts fell off. i was very very surprised too.......

About to get to the on-topic part of what I was getting at.

When those 20+ cons get anywhere near, all it takes is a few 50 cal pings to knock pieces off like everyone has been saying. Had a Spit today, who I was trying to avoid head on, manage to give me a fuel fire with some only several pings of 50 cal.

It may have been more, but that's all I heard. And he didn't get a long burst into me. DIdn't record though.  :(

The really funny thing about .50cals is that post like ".50 cals suck, HTC has nerfed them" do regularly alternate with ".50cals are way overmodelled, that's BS HT!", both kinds of complains being roughly equal in percentage :D

i know 50s are deadly...you ever seen one of those guys in Iraq after one of our snipers popped him...yeah nothing left...but it does seem like the 50s in this game have been stepped up to me... IMO

Same thing happened to a squadie today.  1 hit from a P-47 and he lost a wing.
Last 2 times I took one up, all it took was a medium G turn at 300 mph and a wing ripped off.
What if the Hokey Pokey's REALLY what it's all about...

Oh, I  thought you meant that people who fly 262's are sissies. I was coming in here to agree with you.   :aok
