Zoozoo, don't sell the gun. You'd be trading down for absolutely no reason. I'll gladly play the credentials game with anybody on the forum for who's opinion has the most weight. Now for some more generic advice...
Whatever you do, don't follow the Spec Ops crowd. As a playing entity, they've failed horribly in the face of real opposition. 26 hours of Camp Blanding with Spec Ops having nearly a 2:1 numbers advantage saw them not even able to leave their base, let alone make it into the city. Their adherence to self-written doctrine that's really just a marketing tool handicaps them horribly. They were thoroughly trounced by Smart Corps using the Thunderstruck command blueprint... which, incidentally, is available at the
www.worldoftb.com .... which is run by Lawrence "TB" Wright, considered by many the top scenario player in the world (including me, but I'm biased, he's a friend). He plays for Thunderstruck, which is considered by many the top scenario team in the world. Want to guess what super-tactical guns they use?

Ions with Epiphany internals.

The tac vests aren't bad. Lots of storage, nice ones accept camelbaks, radios, have badge slots, etc.... but they're not necessary. A fanny pack does everything they do except carry a camelbak, they're lighter, and they perform double duty by protecting your testicles. My Redz 4+3, fanny pack, and camelbak have seen 750 or so hours of play in all weather... 117 degrees outdoors (Drop Zone, KS), 110 indoors (book depository, Ft. Worth), down to well below freezing with rain and knee deep mud all over (thank you Lafayette...)
and Bongaroo, you played the wrong scenarios it sounds like

You gotta hit the promoters with good track records like Wayne Dollack or Viper. Yeah, I've sat there and stared through some PVS-7 nvg and watch guys not call themselves out, but the frequency is far less. You get a lot more stand up play, and especially in the South, some incredibly tough teams that while they'd probably suck on a tournament field, will absolutely dominate you for an entire event on a scenario field. I'll get you a pm though on some of my toys too
