I have a Tippmann A-5 Response and i have to say, the Response trigger is a very nice trigger. yea it kinda does go through air fast but it can shoot 15bps and you don't need to worry about batteries! Tippmanns are the most durible markers on the market. Last time we went someone rolled over a A-5 with there pickup truck and it still worked fine. zoozoo i am a Brigade Member add me if u want. sn is just Selino

I have a PMI-3 (or vm-68)  That marker is hard to break.  I have dropped it, thrown it, done a whole lot of other stuff to it.  And it still will not break.  I think that it is the best marker that I have.   Too bad I had to clip a sear to get the trigger working properly. (imo the trigger on this marker was over-engineered)

I'd never buy Tippman.

Airgun Designs is by far my favorite.  The Bob Long Intimidators were catching my eye when I was getting out of the sport.

Zoo,
I had an X7 for a while, nice gun. Also had an A5 and 98 custom, but sold them, not really into it any more. Bought a Viewloader and that's basically all I use as I don't do turneys anymore. Once in a while I'll pull out my old modded 98 custom and kick some arse, when my friends come up, but otherwise it's retired and hanging on my wall. Including my 20" barrel for my 98 :)

Nice, yeah i have a fully modded 98 custom, will post pics later, my friend has 26" barrel on his 98  :D

Iny, i know theres other modes on the virtue for lower fire rate but they suck, still get over 10pbs on lowest mode.

I was Semi-Pro for a good stretch.   When I brought out "Bessie" folks laughed at the "plain marker".   They had the "false sense of security" with an Auto.   They thought that just because they could spray paint like "Dutch Boy" (was a term I got a few of the refs at Hell Survivor's to start using as well), that they would be "Better".  I love the Dye Boomstick.   I got it when they were first released for the 68 Carbine and my wife still doesn't realize I paid more for that barrel than the marker.

Many of those who would laugh, ended up doing the "long walk back" as they never heard the Semi-Auto Tippmann firing.   It is now 10 years old, sits lonely in the basement, but without a doubt, if I were to go and play tomorrow, it would be there.

It has been dunked in rivers, pond edges, swamps and never let me down.   It has been struck by MANY 1-3" trees and only had to replace the original copper tube (that is the only repair ever done to this marker).   I have seen many Autocockers go down, but I chalk it up to "owner care".   Indy, you seem like one of the few I've veer come across that take care of their Autococker.

Zoozoo, don't waste your money on Spec. Ops.   They're junk and I have a few buddies who cannot get rid of them, they suck so bad.   Dial down your PBS and use what you have.    Don't buy into "trends".   It's why I stood pat, instead of getting an A-5 when they first came on the scene.   But, the A-5 is proven, Spec Ops isn't.

Zoo-BPS is worthless, honestly. I could have a 1 BPS, or a 100 BPS, it's your aim that counts. You can fire 40 balls and only 4 may hit. I've got spectacular aim as I hunt normally too, duck and goose, deer and turkey. You may think it doesn't matter as it's a completely different gun and pattern, but it helps greatly.
As Karaya said, the X7 is indeed a nice gun, but I'll stick with my 98C thanks. Karaya I remember reading your story in another paintball thread. Very interesting.

Damn, I dont have the money to paintball, so I'm stuck with airsofting. :cry

But I did make my friend cry when we went paintballing. Took up a little hiding place at some paintball place (we were defending a fort) and he decided to try to move and I shot him about 100 times :D

'Stuck' with airsofting?

(sorry for the terrible photo... camera phone+shakey hand =bad results)
Mine on the left, friend's on the right. Got a wood kit on the way so I can ditch the plastic handguard and stock. I could mod a real AKM stock & handguard to fit but I don't have the tools required (particularly something to hollow out the stock for the battery).

Airsoft and paintball are about as fun as each other in my opinion but airsoft is much cheaper and the guns are sexier :t

My gun is a heavily modified Tokyo Marui AK-47- all the stock plastic receiver parts replaced with King Arms AK-74 stamped-style aluminum receiver parts (the lower receiver and rear sight block are cast, unfortunately, though the dust cover is actually stamped), along with some internal upgrades putting the FPS around 360 ish with accuracy out to around 75 yards.
My friend's M16 is pretty much built from the ground up. (by me :P )

Your man card has been revoked. There's no pain in airsoft, therefore, no adrenaline.

There's plenty of pain in airsoft. I usually have plenty of blood blisters to prove it. :aok
Hurts just as much as paintball... just in a different way. Feels like a bee stung you as opposed to a midget with a tiny fist punching you.

You just have girly skin then.  :lol Played both. Owned tuned up TM M4s, AUGs, etc. I'm all about hobbies where you & friends can shoot at each other. Airsoft is only a small step up from laser tag though.

Stock TM's don't exactly have blazing FPS...
Even cheap-o China guns (JG, CYMA, etc..) average 330-350 any more.
