In the end you should be thankful for those players like us who switch to try and help keep things even because our willingness to do so, helps a more selfish, I want it my way player, get to fly his latewar uber ride.

And, just between us, I don't fear the thought of re-entry trails over the U.S. or your nation--neither country is so stupid as to let this go that far, even if we did trade conventional blows.

Exactly Stoney.  :)

 :D

Oh, crap; another escalation. Have the georgians apologized for their victory yet?

Its a shame that you limit your postings to simply flame-baiting and trolling.  Given your unique perspective and rapt attention to posts on these matters, you could probably be a huge educational resource to those of us outside of your nation.

And, just between us, I don't fear the thought of re-entry trails over the U.S. or your nation--neither country is so stupid as to let this go that far, even if we did trade conventional blows.

Look at the first page of this thread.

We didn't start it.

We are going to play to the very end.

So it goes.

Your regime protects rabid dogs. You have "democracy" and have to respond for the people you elected.

We are sick of it.

War is a worst possible solution to anything. We didn't want it, while you supported above-mentioned rabid dogs.

I clicked the ENG tab to read it in English....only thing is.....there was nothing about Turkey on that whole page.

Sad, really... we had a great hope for a free; democratic russia joining the rest of the world..

It would seem that's just not possible.

Expect to see your nation isolated, distrusted, reviled once again. This will cost a great deal in lives, resources, and paints a picture of a future europe, once again armed to the hilt and determined to resist russian soviet/imperial policies, foreign and domestic.

Dumb move on your imperial leaders part.

You're seriously trying to take a victim stance here?

For a guy so opposed to war you've sure done a lot of chest thumping this week... Just saying.

You think we are aggressors? STFU.

When you bomb Tripoly, Baghdad or Belgrade - it's OK, when we protect our citizens - it's a no-no.

Don't like it? Go diddly yourself.

Wanna play? C'mon, invade us. See the tips of our bayonets. Feel them.

We are not going to be a part of the Americentric world.

All we need is to live as WE want. With no one telling how we should behave.

We don't want to see anyone shooting MLRS at civilians right next door to us.

My Grand Father was was one of the first artillery officers to operate BM-13 "Katyusha". As he said - it was the "most scary weapon ever invented by human kind". BM-21 is a lot more scary.

Atleast he'd be doing something about it unlike lets say... John Kerry would...

Umm...Your fair-haired golden boy GWB hasn't really done anything yet, either. And his inaction is really pissing me off.

Ordinarily, I tend to lean to be anti-war...but, this is something that if we had acted swiftly, could have been nipped in the bud, before it had gotten to this point.

And another thing; If the pentagon had been warning about this since before July, then why didn't we have a plan for a possible Russian incursion ready?

Let's try to put this into perspective. The South Ossetia district is probably roughly the size of Imperial County, Calif. Now what if Mexico decided to issue Mexican passports to all the residents of Imperial County, and send in "peace keepers" under the guise of protecting the Hispanic population of that county.

Then, say, some folks in Imperial County started rioting, and county sheriff's deputies in riot gear went in to quiet things down. What Russia is doing in Georgia, would be the same as if Mexico sent soldiers across the California border to chase off the sheriff's deputies and occupy Imperial County.

How well would that all go over? Not well, I would imagine.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

Shifty... there's still no 'steel' in the US response to Russia... in deference to european sensibilities, none has been implemented post WWII in the europe.

So, in Russia's eyes, we are cowards.

I would applaud any move by the US to modify that opinion.

ANY move.
