-Any hints?
-It's German.
-Any more hints?
-It's a tank
-I'm out of questions.
- :huh

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

German? ...yes
Tank? ... technically, no

75mm/L70, only 278 built.

I posted it because I thought I'd seen all the Wehrmacht GV's. Apparently not.

jagdpanther had an 88 and the chassis of a panther

its profile is way to high for a jagdpanzer altought it has the same gun mantlet
i think from memory it was just called the panzer 4 L70 ironiclly enough

i think it was one of the first times a l70 was mated to a P4 chassis  in response to the heavier soviet tanks
but was replaced by the jagdpanzer due to many reasons including high profile and production costs and time
oTIMMYo --flying wasted since tour 84

And no help from the Peanut Gallery please... :D

Here's some more info: Only 278 built.
I find it Jagdpanzer IV/70(A) was issued first in September of 1944. It was issued as regular tank to Panzer Abteilungs or as a replacement assault gun to Panzer and Stug Brigades. It was used as an anti-tank support vehicle for regular battle tanks. Most of the vehicles saw service on the Eastern Front. On April 10th of 1945, there were still 285 Jagdpanzer IV/70 in service with the German Army, 274 on the Eastern Front, 8 in Italy and 3 on the Western Front. After the war, approximately 6 Jagdpanzer IVs (L/48 and L/70) found their way to Syria. http://www.achtungpanzer.com/jagdpanzer-iv-sd-kfz-162-75mm-l48-1944.htm were i find it :D

Weel, hmmm... Good question???

Kind of an oddball for sure..

Its a panzer IV chassis, no question...

And it looks like a Brumbar upper hull...
With a w a A/P firing gun installed instead of the gigantic mortar...

And the gun (pighead) mantlet looks reminiscent of Hetzer, Jagdpanther, or Jagdtiger

My guess???  Is that it is a Brumbar, modified cuz they didn't have much use
for the big pintle mounted mortar late in the war...

RC

Guess I'm wrong, at least I took an honest guess!!!

As said before it's a Jagdpanzer IV/70 (A), also known as Panzer IV/70 (A). The A stands for Alkett, the manufacturer/developer. It was not called "Zwischenlösung" as it's often wrongly reported. The Jagdpanzer IV/70 (A) is basically a Jagdpanzer IV/70 (V) -V=VoMAG - superstructure bolted on top of a standard Panzer IV chassis thus the stepped armor and increased height.

Well Geez man!!! You didn't have to reiterate the answer...

Woooweeee, your a corker for sure, I'm so proud of you....
Your knowledge of some of the most trivial and inconsequential things in the world truly astounds me :lol....

I looked at the photo, and took an honest guess... Didn't bother reading the whole thread first...
That wouldn't have been an honest guess, would it???

 :salute Don't be so uptight...
