Just wanted to know if I'm unique here, trying to get into the MA's biggest population arena?

Sometimes, if the numbers are totally fubar'd I'll go to the lower population one, but generally I find myself looking for squaddies, and they happen to be in the most populated arena.

*dead horse punt*

Is it time to have folks upgrade their pc's for one big 'Titanic Tuesday' type of MA and let those with machines that choke play MW or EW arenas?

Opinions, comments?

I never do it, squadies always hook up in what ever arena is open. I havn't found one that didn't jump out of the "populated" arena to fly with the rest of the squad.... I always thought thats what flying with a squad meant.

oh... and the arenas where not split because of people flying with weak computers, they were split because of poor game play... much like what goes on on Tuesdays.

I do it, but lately I've been jumping into early war if there is only one or two online. Usually it's a rook and/or a nit steamrolling undefended fields, so I have a little fun until a squaddie shows up in red text or I get bored and try for LWO again.

Odd, I've always found more fights, to more people's tastes, in the bigger, more populated arenas.  If you want base capture, it's there.  Furballs?  Yep!  CV fights...guaranteed.  Tank battles, also there.  "poor" gameplay was never mentioned.  I need a definition for that, actually.

Some folks have mentioned on the boards that they can't stand the big fights because it lags out their PC's; their gameplay suffers due to hardware issues.  In fact, I've heard the same things talking over voice chat or text; some people refuse to participate in crowded fights because of a negative PC/Internet performance impact.  I've been graced with a decent connection and a good machine for most of my gaming career, so I can't comment on the validity of the arguement that older machines or slow connections aren't much fun to play on in busier areas.

Sigh...

example of frustration:

8pm PST Friday and the arena my squad is in is 348 out of 300 max.  So, click quit for awhile hoping the numbers switch, or fly solo in another arena?
