LOL .. never worked on the 111's.
When I was in Thailand, they ran a lil exercise against our F-4's out of Udorn ..111's went thru the F-4 formation before the F-4's knew they were in the area .. ROFL.. from back to front ..then peeled away left and right.
About the most perfect way of sayin 'Bang, yer DEAD' there is
(heard about it from some of the younger pilots that were there in a big party that nite ..there was always a big party somewhere
And ya . .phased array is active.
Interestingly enough ..it works for jammin also -evil grin-
(ECM rule #1: you dont jam the radar ..you jam the reciever)
another rule: a 500lb Mk 82 thru the dish *will* jam any ground radar ..aka 'active jamming'
-GE (and a 'G' can put a mk 82 thru a dish from amazingly far out.. whether it's on or not)
