Well I am sticking up for Steve. No matter what you guys say. He is a squaddie of course but I follow him around all the time and see him enter the furball at 8k in a p51. So unless you fly lower than that when you fight then shut it cause I KNOW all of you whiners fly in at 10 or 15k and BZ...run...pick all day long and in dweeb rides like spit16's , typh and L gays. And then you have the nerve to whine about a p51 on the deck running. OMG!!! You all run like little girls and then turn around and squeak about it. It's pathetic.

I have heard in the last few days many mean things about Steve on range channel from all three countries. Why can't any of you just Salute when you get out flown instead of whining like girls.

And Murdr.....what the heck....You have a trainer tag and you post like that. I am dissapointed that you would say that. Poor show.

No offense agent, because I have a lot of respect for you as you know, but I don't think you see the side of steve that some of us do when we fly against him.  It's his money and he could/can do whatever he likes with it, but I personally hold the opinion that I would expect more from him then what I see.  Every time I fly (or flew) against him, I was reminded of a 2 weeker.  I'm not saying that he can't do anything other then that, but rather that's all I see out of him.

I like Steves fighting style. I just wonder if this would even be a concern if his name wasn't plastered on the home page for top fighter rank last tour.

what this really boils down to, (and no offense steve, ur very good at what you do in a pony/whatever - your "style") is Steve has always felt somewhat neglected when the "names" are mentioned.

does this make him any less talented or skilled? not at all, but it does reflect how the community perceives "names."

Steve has never claimed to be anything more than he ever has been; he's honest with his self-assessment, and like i said, very good at being "Steve."

So Steve, my only suggestion in accomplishing what you want, is to take a few months fly a bunch of different planes, and fly alone, or with one wingy into major trouble, scrape your way in or out, survival be damned and then you'll acquire that reputation for being one of the "names." or at least in that particular group of "names."

yeah, basically what i'm saying.  it's just one vocal subest of the game/bbs that defines a certain category of "names."  if steve wants to be recognized by that particular minority, and he apparently does, then he has to meet their standards, such as they are.

I did the: looking-over-my-shoulder-to-see-which-way-to-evade-then-hit-the-side-of-the-hill-at-300, version of the "fly like an idiot" last night. I did it basically right on top of a pack of enemy Gv's, giving a proxy in the process. Appropriate ribbing ensued.
