So  you  say there is a way to fly a cartoon plane well??
If you accept that there is a "fly well" mode you implicate that there is a way to fly "in the right way" or not??
And if you don't "fly well" what is the contrary noun ??
Flown well in terms of a good stick, I didn't say flown the "correct way."  A good pilot can do some pretty cool things that are seemingly impossible.  For example, while everyone thinks that the 190 is a BnZ aircraft, when a good pilot can TnB a 190 as well as he can BnZ it.  There is no wrong way to fly it, just how well you do so.

Pilot skill and Pilot fighting style are two very, very different things.

Vudak, you CAN'T be implying that flying a spitV takes an equal amount of skill as flying a 190, or perhaps a p51, effectively? SURELY you're not saying there's no difference amongst the 80+ planes in this game?

To be successful in any plane requires skill, regardless if it's a Spitfire or a Tempest.  Just like being proficient in math requires one to know that 4+2 equals 10.

You mean just like using a humorous quote out of context repeatedly as if there's deeper context?

What is skill? Are we talking "able to take off without veering off the runway?" -- in that case the pilot has sufficient skill to rack up 6-kill sorties in a spitfire. The same pilot in a 190 may not get 1 kill before being shot down.

So yes, it does take skill to be successful in any plane in this game, but each plane has its own skill requirement before a pilot becomes effective/lethal/"good" in that ride.

Okay, here is your first line:
Pickers will always have high K/D ratios, while people that get down and dirty will have low ones inherently.

First, no one has ever "out-turned" anything in a 190, except a 262 or another 190. They've used a better angle when someone else chose a poorer one, controlled their throttle when the other did not, etc.

Second, Krusty, I'm sorry, but I would be uncomfortable saying the 190 takes more skill to fly than the Spit or vis versa...depending on what your situation is, either can be the better/worse plane. Sure, the Spit is easier to fly in a 1v1 duel, but as you may have noticed, those rarely happen. For instance, yesterday in a 190 I drug a somewhat inexpert Ki-84 for nearly  sector to get him away from any possible help, did some E fighting mumbo-jumbo, managed to land some hits, separated from him again when I noticed my forward tank was 3/4s empty!, he apparently went down from fuel loss/damage while I was RTB. Anyway, my point here is that if I had been in a Spit16, even though it would theoretically been a far easier fight, I would not have had the strategic option of dragging the Ki-84 away from all the other cons and would most likely have ended up ganged and in flames.

apparently YOU didn't read my post very well ya smackhead. i simply told ya that i thought storch was a good 190 stick.

i did also ask how you have so much time in already this month too, but that was a QUESTION, and NOT derogotory.

maybe YOU should spend more time studying your schoolwork. then you'd realize that.

Bal bla bla bla bla, It really takes a lot of skill to pick and run  :rofl

Tell you what, I am an easy mode pilot with just enough skills to take off the runway by using auto take off.  I fly 190s once maybe twice a year? (I am sure you will check my stats, lol).  I have never had any problem spanking a 190 ace in the DA using 190s.  What does that tell you?  If you want to try let me know.  Check my stats, I am a LALA dweeb so have nothing to worry about.  Lets see how effective you are when you cant just make a pass or two on someone that is busy fighting someone else

What I'm implying, is (essentially), that using a plane how "you're supposed to" is easier than using it in a way you are not.  I'd have a much easier time getting kills TnB'in in a SpitV than trying to BnZ in the darn thing :), vice-versa with 190s.

I just don't get the guys who complain about "Easy mode planes" and then go out of their way to ensure that they take the absolute easiest path in their own "more difficult" plane of choice.  It doesn't add up.

Generally, doing "what you're supposed to" makes life easier.  I would disagree that it makes it more interesting, however.

Yup, this is true, but some do it much more than others.  I personally get bored of picking rather quickly, I'd rather be getting dirty down on the deck! :)

There are people that pick a lot, and there are people that turnfight a lot.  Not saying one is better or worse, it's just a fact! :aok

i think i've mentioned this before. one of the most fun things to do, is up from a base a sector out from the fight where the cherrypickers are. get juuuust close enough to observe them. watch their patterns for a moment or so. when you think you have em figured out, head in just before they dive in. if you time it right, you'll be there to pick them off as they're topping out with absolutle no e left to avoid ya with.

Yeah, this truly is a bast to do.  My favorite is when they don't realize you were there and you watch them make that "surprised" sudden maneuver... :P
