I had it down as Dornier Komet, but yeh...they were essentially the same plane.

It did, after everything else had failed.  ;)

I suspected it was a German by the rudder style but could not find the appropriate type.

Glock, re set your beauty canons, the 72 is a wonderful airplane, had we had it a little earlier, we'd have won the Schneider! And the Bugatti is simply wonderful! :)
