improve your SA in a few clicks

Go into the game options and find the GUI menu(i think) somewhere there you can change the colours and size of icons. change the enemy icons to a darker shade of red and if you like set to size 12, to lose the 'neon' feel. Thats just a personal pref.
 Here is the trick for your SA, turn the friendly icons to the same blue as the sky. This way friendlies above you will show up faintly against cloud or just be a dot. All you will see is the red guys above you. Looking down you will see friendlies against the darker land. If you ever need to ID a friendly above you just check the radio list or send them a check six and watch the text buffer.
 
Try it, see what you think. I suspect you could find yourself being hit by an unseen high enemy alot less.

uh..... really? I could not stand the neon green and red, it's dweeby to change icon colours now?

im with Ghosth, its simple to do, until a friendly above you has a 262 screaming in and you cant see their icon, but as you said mechanic, youll only see the red of enemies. I think itd work either way, but its a preference,  :salute

how does help? Surely being able to see enemies and freindlies clearly is what SA is about. If you want better SA, the default is fine,you'd be better off looking around more.

i actually left it with enemies bright red, friendlies bright green, and squaddies black. all three VERY easy for me to see.

Changing colors in itself? No.
Making them certain colors to gain an "advantage" in SA. Yeah, kinda. Imo.

btw...you people spell "color" wrong. :P :P  :D

I see nothing wrong with changing colors to meet the needs of being able to either see better of distinguish between enemies. Anyone who says different is just a jack-A

My bases are either red,yellow and blue or sometimes I use purple. Maybe it's my vid card or something but green i can not see well.

Enemy is always red but Squad mates are this color only much more neon. I can pick a squad mate or someone tuned to my CH out very quickly on the map when using that color.


What would be nice is if i could change countries enemies in flight color. Bish pink, knit red or something
