it took place after the elections....

It was the SAME day that the President elect was called, Nov 5th.

You can't expect someone to not talk about it, so long as the racial or xenophobic comments are left out. Oh and the discussion takes place on 200.  :aok

There is no place for racism in AH.  End of story.  Saying an argument is a two way street, or that someone should just ignore it, is as good as defending it.

Then why comment at all? Unfortunately your world consists of everyone around you every waking minute of your life. Your right you do control your world for the most part; you are most likely to have a boss and you will have to follow rules. That's life for ya.

ciaphas,

yes, there are usually moderators in the game, and yes, they are supposed to stop crap like what you're talking about. there is also a text filter, that warns, then mutes a person for continued offenses. the problem with the text filter, however, is that it is easy to get around. simply misspell a offending word by one single letter, or put a space in the middle of the word, etc.

sunka you sound kinda closed minded. most of us don't like bosses....and me personally, i don't have one anymore, as i AM the boss now. however, as you can see by this thread, and what went on in the arena, there IS a need(unfortunatly) for moderators in there. they are NOT your, or anyones bosses. they are simply there to make sure that something i say won't be out of line.

basically in-game, you should imagine that your 6 year old daughter is sitting right next to you, and can read everything you type, as well as others responses, and she can hear everything you and others say.
i'd bet none of you/us would spew some of the crap we see or are on occasion spewing ourselves.

But does sticking your head in the sand while the morons continue to spew stupid really help anyone?

nosir, it doesn not, but it does, however, allow you to continue to enjoy your temporary escape from reality.  :aok

this is a game and not a real world scenario.
no place for "real world politics".

most people, including myself fly here to escape the drudgery of every day life, if only briefly.

Jeebus...didn't realize how many women flew in this game with all the hysterics.

The solution is simple, squelch the 'tard and send in the film to HTC and let them take care of it, no need for the tears.

About 3 minutes after the ignorant chatter lit up the channels my squaddies and a few other people tuned to a random vox, shut off the text buffer, and went about enjoying
our lives in the AH world. It is a magical land where politics, religion, economics (except for the $15 dues) & everyday real problems seem to go away.

I don't know what kind of political leanings MjTalon has, but if he's the same Talon-named guy that led the P-47s during the Aluminum Overcast MoM event, its a big loss for the rooks, and people should be ashamed of themselves.

I think, looking at the big picture........

Anybody who uses 200 chatter as an excuse to quit the game, already left, whether they knew it or not.

Reading through these 3 pages, I want to quote so many, so I will not.

And just leave you all with this thought we all seem to be forgetting.  Especially the quitter.......

This is still afterall, the INTERNET, and there is always going to be ignorance wherever you may go.

.report gameID

If enough reports are logged, the offending person will lose their comm privs.

Records film. Send the film to HTC, and they may or may not take action

There are no mods active currently, from the look of things, and the idiots have free reign in the MAs. If you don't like the idiots, .report gameID, then .squelch gameID. If everyone who is sick of them does this, we can shut them up ourselves.

You can call me a girl, or say I'm gay, or WTF ever the usual responses are- I don't care, I've been back only a few weeks, and I'm amazed at the state of the MAs- if it was a sewer before the split, it's just a big steaming pile of toejam now.

The night of the election and last night our squad had a healthy debate about the state of the political race and where it was going the Lynchmob is a multiracial multi background group we all have our preferences however our discussion has never got bigoted or racial. A squad that cant find common ground nomatter what the circumstances are is a testimony to the recruitment process of the Commanding officer. Its to bad we lose anyone in the community but being the leader of a squad of so many different indeviduals takes a thick skin and being able to take what others say with a grain of salt. Thats how i manage my group and will continue to do it this way. besides its a game why stress over anyones rediculous comments. IMHO

Grown "adults" need to grow thicker skins.

Agreed...

I got so annoyed that I de-tuned 200 and will keep it de-tuned until all this foolishness ends. Seriously, If you make political statements on 200 or country ch.(I have but will refrain from doing so in the future) you are certain to tick-off/annoy at least half of the people that are on that channel. Also from now on it is an "instasquelch" when I see someone posting politic on country. As of today I will not post about politics and/or religion any AH2 channel or this forum.
