Don't like it.  It limits the available area you have to fight too much.

Hmmm.  3 positive posts from a total of 17.  Not good.

Next question:  Has HTC made any comments about sooooo many people disliking the map?

I've only had a chance to fly about an hour in it, but I did enjoy it.  I look forward to trying it out some more.

I like it. The fleet ack hugging sneaking cv's off the map and Porkhog arena was getting a bit old for my taste.

Swoop there's a larger topic in the General Forumn with more positives.

This map doesn't bother me in the least. Seems more balanced as well as easy enough to find good combat action of any type.

Miss VBases.

It is too flat.

Maybe I would like if the terrain had a lot more mountains. Would make more interesting lo level flying, and ditching almost impossible.

Hmmmm...I think 1.04 is the one I liked most. Of course no water in it

Cheers,

Pepe

It's not flat at all, it just has rolling hills instead of a few mountains here and there.  I like that alot.  Fly some NOE sorties and you'll see what I mean, very interesting down low.

I do miss furball island though, it was nice to have the option of either playing strat or just plain furballing on the same map.

It's not my favorite map thus far, but I don't dislike it either.  Just makes the Historical arenas busy during events which is a good thing!

Zoso, I fly quite a few NOE missions, despite the sector counters (something I really wish is in the path of solving). I still stick to the flatness of the terrain. It has rolling hills, ok. But the canyon flying fun of 1.04 is here limited to the ridges (I think that is the right word) that divide initially the three countries.

Besides that, NOE over round hilly terrains are OK, but the real challenge are over mountains. There they are really fun.

Cheers,

Pepe.

With all due respect to HTC cause I know they put a lot of time into this map but I don't like it as far as gameplay goes.  I do like the graphics with patches of fields and mountain details. Keep that.

As stated by other folks there's WAY too much furballing going on now and usually gangbanging the lowly country with fewest players who are now fighting on 2 fronts which seem to be the Rooks all the time.  At one point we Rooks had the fewest players and were being gangbanged by 2-3 times the same number of nme.  Not fun.  As such, my scored has suffered terribly (not that I'm into my score that much).

Also, the CV engagements are practially non-existent.  Too bad. I felt they really added a nice element.  And, I've never seen a CV on a giant lake either.  The island campaign made more sense.

I'm mixed about missing the VH bases.  Usually it took you WAY too long to reach your target and then get blown away.  This now affords the opportunity of a true ground attack.  However, one time the Knights just kept respawning over and over and over again until we had a CAP over the area and a few resident Panzers which finally shut that down.

I'd say, keep the graphics changes to the land and the new GV spawning capability but bring back the old map.

I have no problem with this map. It in no way hinders me from doing what i like to do best...Hunt down enemy AC. As a matter of fact it facilitates it. I can pretty must count out a 3rd of the map as hunting grounds except the few CV ops guys out there.
