Although Friday was tolerable, today just plain sux.  Up until very recently (like the last week), my ping times were never above 63ms to any arena.  Looks like Level3-->ATT is the problem (big surprise  :noid ).

Fios , Since it is FIber runs directly on all verizon controlled equipment

I do not beleive they use either l3 or att

I had fios for 2 years and beleive me i was hitting 80 plus frame rate

ISP and frame rate ain't remotely connected, FWIW.

Skuzzy

the connection to your server is what determines frame rrate correct?
The faster and cleaner the connection the better off you are I thought

A good connection is always desirable but it still doesn't have anything to do with video performance.

Video performance is all related to hardware in your machine and its software/settings.

Frame rate is a video performance measurement.

Higher FPS is desirable (to a point)

Lower latency is desirable in an internet connection.

could possible be because of me. At about the 13:00 hour, I logged onto Comcast live chat. After about half an hour of trying to convince them that there is an issue from level3 to att.com, they finally did a traceroute to 206.16.60.38 from their location. The tier 3 tech typed back that they do see the problem and will escalate the issue. I also was on ventrillo with a squadie at the same time he was doing the same thing. Perhaps they got the message? I don't know, but would like to think so. I was getting 323 ms at the att.net, now its around 80 ms.

I asked on the phone for a tier 3 tech and she told me she didnt know what that was.

I can live with tech issues but I cant live with stupid people blowing me off even when they are at least smart enough to know, that I know, they are blowing me off. They once sent a tech by who couldnt speak english. :lol I had to get a mexican buddy on the phone to translate for us.

Unfortunately, I am a comm tech 3 for the company. It even took me a great deal of time to get to the right person that even new what I was talking about to do a traceroute.  :(    and trying to convince them that my system was good on my end, modem levels where good, ect. Next time I'm going to go the internal route and just call dispatch to get to a local tier 3 tech.

but I have to add that once I got to the right person that could help me, it was handled in a timely professional manner.
