Any chance of disabling that in the MA?
I don't enjoy chasing icons.  It just screams "log off and go to bed" to me.

I hear the buff rutabagas love night because they can still see the ground perfectly from any alt and hit perfectly, plus they are an extra bit harder to kill at night.  Cetrainly the buff rutabagas need this crutch too for at least several hours a day, I mean its soooooooooo difficult to buff in AH.

Anyway I hate night too, HTC killed it off once before and MA numbers were higher and more consistent, they should have learned from that.

Another thing to remember is that night isnt just the "black" period. Its also the two very long and nearly as dark "evening" and "morning" periods which are almost as bad in vision as the night.

BTW the "black" night periods are far too light anyway, its absolutly too light and easy to see the ground and in the air  compared to all the times ive flow at night in RL even in full moonlit nights.

Basically the implementation of night in AH is very much useless at the moment in every regard and should be removed for both gameplay and realism issues.

I enjoy it and see it as a nice change of pace.  I don't like the way that the clip board gets dark at night or under cloud cover tho'.

Night is worse for buff drivers you sniveling idiot. We operate out side of our dar so get no dot dar on the interceptors. Who do however get a dot dar on us. I dont know if there is a high con over a target till I get there. But they know im coming and from where. Interceptor gets 4k to plan his strike befor we have a chance of knowing where he is. This often removes the buffs freedom to change course quickly and force a 6 chase....
I dont enjoy the knight as much. If my hour of flying a knight is all dusk and dawn I dont have as much fun that knight.. But it is exciting to press into the blackness and not know where the baddies are till its almost always too late

I LOVE the night. U guys that think that night is hard to see, TURN OFF the light in your room. You will see a-ok. It is harder, you have to watch your instruments a lot more...but damn its FUN. WTG HTC! This is one of the features I most like in AH. Gv battles at night are intense too! And nothing beats attacking a CV at night..das tracer!

I dont like the dawn/dusk. The orange is insufferable. Make the dawn/dusk last only 10 minutes please.

Bring on the darkness !  , its umm "funner".
In fact I think it should last 6-8 hours and get some radar night fighter ac going, maybe being able to 'click,click,click...' on the runway lights. How about burning flames from buildings and such...yahoooo.
For those afraidycat of the dark, just grab your favorite Teddybear or blankie and cuddle up to your joystick with your thumb between your lips  :D

As once was our motto, 'WE own the dark'

I like it.

Of course, I only see what he posts here and what he does in the MA.  I know virtually nothing about the man.  I think its important for people to realize that we don't really know squat about each other.... definately not enough to use words like "hate".

Randomize the wind layers, and more clouds, dammit!  I wish the wind layers were always at 12,000 here for my local flying.  Beyond the altitude of most of the Skyhawks I fly lately but this amazingly constant wind sheer and rather laughable.

Hey Grun, could you be a *little more* anti-buff?

Night should come to the MA once maybe twice a week and last 3 or 4 hours.

With spotlights and night fighters and bombers it could be fun.

Night is only a sign for me to leave the arena. I don't like it and dio not fly then.

this above written by grunherz i find funny.
for greater realism you want darkness removed?
in britain night bombing was the norm.later in the war wellingtons, lancs and mossies would fly in low over the tgt dropping flares to aid the heavies above in pinpointing the tgt,now thats something i'd like to see in ah.bright silver b17's flying high in nice formation in broad daylight over europe, contrails streaming behind them acting like direction arrows to prowling 190's must have been an impressive sight.night fighting requires much more skill than daylight you have to rely more on your instruments and i believe that makes it all the more relistic.and is'nt realism something i see most of you wanting.
