Read this! It may save your life! Antibiotics = BAD!
« on: December 20, 2008, 01:09:02 AM »
Greetings friends.  Just wanted to past a VERY important warning about antibiotics that I learned recently.

Approximately 10 years ago something changed in me.  In my mid 20's I was a health, happy and outgoing person.  That all changed seemingly overnight when I developed anxiety / panic disorder and hypoglycemia.  As the years went on, I lost jobs and relationships until I learned to slowly control my circumstances and health.  Every year I feel worse and worse as if I am aging more quickly than most.  As someone that flies RC aircraft, I find it difficult now as I've lost my depth perception and have about 30 floaters in my eyes.  I was recently diagnosed with a thyroid condition called Hashimoto's which is basically an under AND over active thyroid under attack but my bodies own antibodies.  Because of this, I am more susceptible to many other diseases like diabetes, MS, lupus and yes even cancer.

For years I searched for the cause of all my issues slowly over time while still trying to enjoy life to my best ability.  I am consider a rather smart and outgoing person to most people that meet me, however I harbor a dark secret of dizzy spells, anxiety/panic attacks and pain throughout my body that seems to get worse every year.  I could never place my finger on what started all of this, the only thing I remember is that it occurred shortly after a dental visit and wondered if I was poisoned by anything while having oral surgery.

Years later (recently) I had an ear infection and was prescribed a drug called AVELOX.  Thinking nothing of it, I started my first pill shortly after picking up the antibiotic as I couldn't take my ear infection any longer.  Within one hour of taking this pill, I was physically ill.  I rushed home and sat in the bathroom for an hour.  Soon after my Achilles tendons started hurting, along with my big toes lol!

The next day, I felt a bit 'off'.  I was anxious, sweating, one side of my face felt numb, my whole body hurt and by the middle of the day I was pretty convinced I had the flu and barely made it home to pass out.  Just before taking my second pill I decided to research this wonder drug my genius doctor gave me and was so surprised by what I read that I immediately realized what had nailed me YEARS ago.

THIS STUFF IS POISON.  You may be able to handle it the first time, or even the second time - but all studies that I've read have shown that people WILL end up dying from taking these drugs if they continue to take them.  They are VERY toxic to the body.

Here is the kicker - when you stop taking them, they continue to destroy your body for MANY MANY YEARS.  There are countless people that develop heart disease, auto immune problems (thyroid, diabetes, etc), years after taking these drugs which have been blamed on other factors but more and more, studies are showing that antibiotics; specifically antibiotics in the Quinolone family are to blame.

A recent upheld standard for deaths caused by drugs both illegal and legal - Antibiotics are to blame for almost 10% of the deaths!!!!  That's alarming.  Do you believe this to be the true number?

The scariest thing is, there are so many studies that show that bacteria resistance super bugs are starting to rear their ugly head due to the OVERUSE of these VERY powerful antibiotics.  The MERSA bug is known to be caused from the overuse of Quinolone's in ER's.

Here is a list of the drugs with Quinolone's in them.  If you value your life do not take these drugs.  Doctors are IGNORANT!  Don't believe me if you wish, but do your due diligence and research what a strangle hold the pharma co's have on society today.  I am by no means a crackpot radical like some peta or save the new guinea grass hopper nutball, I'm just try to save a few people from a gloomy life that will make them dependent on other drugs to keep them alive.  It's almost paradoxical.

ofloxacin(Floxin®), levofloxacin(Levaquin®, Tavanic®), ciprofloxacin(Cipro®, Baycip®, Cetraxal®, Ciflox®, Cifran®, Ciplox®, Cyprobay®, Quintor®), norfloxacin(Noroxin®, Amicrobin®, Anquin®, Baccidal®, Barazan®, Biofloxin®, Floxenor®, Fulgram®, Janacin®, Lexinor®, Norofin®, Norxacin®, Orixacin®, Oroflox®, Urinox®, Zoroxin®), enoxacin(Penetrex®), lomefloxacin(Maxaquin®), grepafloxacin(Raxar®), trovafloxacin(Trovan®), sparfloxacin(Zagam®), temafloxacin(Omniflox®), moxifloxacin(Avelox®), gatifloxacin(Tequin®), gemifloxacin

You can go here and read up on this.  It's not the best put together site but has a wealth of legitimate information from medical publications on it proving how LETHAL these drugs are.  Read some of the stories about people that are the most severely affected by these drugs.

http://www.fqresearch.org/index.htm

I took me 4 days to feel like I could function again.  My whole body is in pain, my anxiety for anything is pretty high, and at about 2pm everyday I feel like I am dying of a major illness until I sleep for countless hours.  I'm one of the lucky ones, at least I can sleep.  There are countless people blowing their brains out because they are in hell and can't even find solace by sleeping.

Trust me.  I believed in doctors at one point.  It wasn't until I was diagnosed with a thyroid issue and discussed test results with 3 different doctors and 3 different specialist.  They ALL read the results wrong, and I pointed out their mistakes in 'newer' medical journals and texts.  They brushed me off and many of them got down right childish and angry with me.  I knew I was onto something.  Doctors are smug and believe they know everything.  They have a God complex and while many wish to be what they intended to be, the fact of the matter is - they have only minutes to diagnose you.  The do NOT read what medicines do as they believe drug reps who are told NOT to give the indications but to sell the product as the doctors are responsible for knowing the facts of the drug.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOW8LNU2hFE  (at 5 mins, listen about the revolving door)

The FDA acknowledges SOME of the issues with these drugs but continues to allow them as they state 'the benefits still outway the risks'.  Many of the CEO's of the drug co go on to work for the FDA and vice versa.  If you think there is corruption in oil and wallstreet , you AIN'T SEE NOTHING YET until you start down the rabbit hole toward our foods , the FDA and the pharmas.

These drugs are intended for SERIOUS infections where it's a life or death situation, but doctors are pushing them like candy because they get great gifts and are told they are great cure all drugs with little side effects (Except insanity and yes TENDON RUPTURES lol! )

There is no hope for those that have been poisoned other than to nurture yourself back to health and to live with this toxin.  It actually CHANGES your DNA!  Eat healthy, exercise if you still can, and for god's sake don't drink milk or eat meat that isn't hormone free - especially poultry or fish!  SOY is a big NO NO too (and MANY things have soy in them).  If you are someone that suffers from issues that you can't put your finger on, and the doctors just keep slapping different things for you to take, take control of your health and start doing the research. The doctors are CLUELESS.

10 years ago I would have thought "This poster is nuts!".  Today, I am sad to see how bad we actually have it.

*****Disclaimer*******  I am not a doctor and you should not take my advice for your health or well being.  Find a good doctor that you trust that doesn't blow off your concerns and inquire about ANY drugs you take, don't just walk out with a prescription and start putting possibly harmful things into your body unless you know for sure it's going to help you more than hurt you.

My grandfather lived until he was 90 years old.  He drank, smoked and chewed most of his life, and ate CRAP.  He stayed away from doctors like the plague and NEVER took any meds.

levofloxacin(Levaquin®, Tavanic®)

I was prescribed Levaquin this past winter/early spring after I got back from Mexico City with the worst sinus infection I have ever had and time (which usually works for me) nor any other normal infection killer (not on your list) was working I went to the doctor and he gave that to me along with a steroid shot to reduce the inflammation. Well as normal the inflammation went away later that afternoon and I started the Levaquin the next morning. By noon I was as you described feeling sick to my stomach and dizzy. I went home at lunch and took the second pill. Then it got worse. I don't get migraine headaches...ever and this must have been one since I couldn't open my eyes. My shoulders were hurting the next day and I felt like my guts were coming out. I could not eat and nothing felt right. I took that stuff for 6 more days and then I stopped by accident because I left it at home. About a month later I got the worst sunburn of my life and a family friend knew I had taken it and asked how long before. She is a pharmaceutical rep and she told me to refuse it or any other drug in that same family. My shoulders still still feel crappy after a workout and this is almost 9 month after taking the partial dosage the doctor prescribed. On the plus side the sinus infection was killed.

It's insanity.  And when you tell doctors this they look at you like you are crazy.  My body has been through so much, I've rather gotten used to feeling like I'm dying every now and then.  I'm glad you weren't badly affected but don't expect this to get much better for a few years.  I appears people like me will have a life long issue to handle and I'm hoping it peaks and starts to get better SOON.  It's been almost well, 10 years now, and I think it was actually a Z pack that got me the first time.  It's known to be less harsh on people initially but has the same long standing issues as the others I posted about, unfortunately the full effects takes many many years to be felt.

I dated a girl who had a friend that was married to a pharma rep.  Biggest slimball in the world.  Used car salesman with a nice suit on.  Wore a wife beater and did just that.

I always heard stories but BELIEVED that the masses wouldn't allow this.  But as 'that guy' from the nazi party said ( I think it was gerbal (sp).  The bigger the lie, the more they will believe..

This peaked my interest and started me on the path of looking at the antidepressants out there.  When I started having panic attacks again this summer I was put on LUVOX.  The "doctor" said it was an old drug and very safe.  I still had panic attacks but had the urge to smash my truck into people in traffic.  So I figured I better stop.  I don't mean a small urge either.  It was later that I found out that the Columbine kids were on Luvox.  Yup.  Safe drug.  Then I read an article that showed that all of the school shootings, the person(s) that did these events were on one of these drugs.

It's very scary to say the least!

Needless to say I'm going to stop being a lemming and start living my life for me..

The family of drugs classified as fluoroquinolones are great drugs when used responsibly and with any drug, side effects can occur.

In regards to Luvox, they have linked many problems to adolescents being given antidepressants indiscriminately, I strongly urge you to bring your child to someone specializing in pediatric psychiatry.

Wow you sound like a doctor or pharma rep.  Sorry but read some of the info from the site I gave you.  A test done in England showed that on the 2nd and 3rd use of these line or drugs, the adverse reactions went from 8% to 54% on persons tested.  Followup with those tested show several deaths, YEARS later that DOCTORS agreed was from the antibiotics in those families.

I hardly call those side effects.  They are great drugs if you have been exposed to ANTHRAX,  ...NOT for simple infections that with a little effort could be cultured.

Sincraft, is there any possibility of linking to an article which contains evidence that quinalones are bad, that site is a bit of a nightmare to navigate be honest.

There are a couple of points i would like to discuss about your post.  By MERSA do you mean MRSA?  You cannot blame the emergence of MRSA on quinalones because all antimicrobials produce resistance, it's the nature of bacterial evolution- i can think of only 1 drug which has produced no resistance and that is an anti-fungal agent.

Also, do you have any links to quinalones altering DNA, i've never head of this before.  Quinalones mode of action involves inhibiting 2 bacterial proteins, which inhibits bacterial DNA synthesis.

In my day the psychiatrist was the nun swinging the strap, or the ruler, or the left hook. And then you got on your knees and prayed "please dont call home to the old man". Because his favorite child mental disorder remedy was the belt, and forget TV for a month. When I look at how screwed up kids are today I'm starting to believe the old way was better. Boy these kids on all these drugs are a mess.

I just had a case of pneumonia and had to take one of those drugs and I'm no more screwed up now then I was before. The X-ray of my lung looked like I had a "Aliens" creature inside so I had to take something to cure it.

Sincraft I sincerely hope you get, and feel, better. There are some real screwball Doctors out there. :salute

Are you serious?  YES there are countless medical journals on this site showing why these drugs are bad.  Do the research.  Honestly, I'm not going to debate with people.  This is the most recent article that the mindless will believe because it comes from a government site.  http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/NEWS/2008/NEW01858.html   This speaks of the rather serious warning that will be placed on the drug when they run out of their current supply.  Almost 6 months later and mine didnt' have it.  Tendon rupture LOL!  Come on, if it does that to your tendons, image what it is doing to the rest of your muscles/heart?
Are people really that stupid to believe that the FDA has our backs?
And this is the best they would come up with after hearing 10s of thousands of cases were thousands have died.

So sad.

Yes i'm serious, i'm not navigating through that site, it's hardly the most user friendly site in existence.  All i asked was for you to link an article for me,  i'm not going to do research by trawling through that site.  I would also prefer evidence rather than conjecture what fluoroquinalones may or may not do.

Link me an article providing evidence flurouquinalones alter our DNA and is the cause of the emergence of MRSA.  Those are your claims not mine, i would hardly call myself mindless because i asked for evidence.

I hardly call those side effects.  They are great drugs if you have been exposed to ANTHRAX,  ...NOT for simple infections that with a little effort could be cultured.

I don't understand what you mean by this, what benefit would a cutlure of the microorganism bring instead of treating the infection.

Man, think of what the world would be without anti-biotics!  I mean we may not have large sub division booming with neighbors 6 feet from my lawn and then we wouldn't have this credit crunch and this recession.

Well I gotta run guys.  Need to get some blood letting done.

And in short, anti-biotics have saved many many many more lives than they've hurt.  It's true I agree that the FDA does push certain drugs to the market without proper studies.  But that's a whole 'nother argument.

And it wasn't for some anti-biotics and tylenol/ibuprofen combo administered to my nephew last week, not sure what kind of shape he would have been in...since my sister doesn't want her child living a 'doped' up drug filled life and thinks she can control a fever until her kid has a seizure from a spike.

I can only weep when I think of the invaluable information (of all sorts, but specifically medicinal in this instance) lost when the Library at Alexandria was destroyed... how much accumluated knowledge did we lose, sigh. Western medicine should also look closer at "alternative" strategies, there's a lot of folk knowledge passed down that benefits us for the common issues we all face.

Modern drugs do have their place, but I feel sometimes they're prescribed like a shotgun... throw and see what sticks. It's all a work in progress for us as a species. Still,  I'm glad I'm living *now* rather than several centuries, or even decades, ago.
