stock string on the camo bow, and winners choice on the target bow.

i should note, i got the ultra tec set up as it is in the pics. it seemed like a decent deal, at its price....and i shoot left handed. they;re hard to find unless i wanted to fork over for a brand new one...which i can't afford right now.

i noticed the release your girlfriend's using too. i tried them, but couldn't find a comfortable place to anchor my hand. i still use a wrist release.

what i wish i had vid of was when i got my PSE,.,,,,,like a true anal orifice, i tried to finger shoot it. that didn't work out so well.  :rofl

I did not notice that you were a lefty.  If you ever feel like getting rid of one of those bows let me know, my GF's dad has been tinkering with the idea of getting a bow and he is a lefty, can't go wrong with an Ultra Tec.  I recently switched to a hand held release, and yes they take some getting used to.  I am actually shooting her release in the picture of me, although you can't see it.  Funny story about that is we were shooting that day in the competition round of a 3D shoot, we had just hiked about 600 yards up the mountain because we began the course on about the middle target (shotgun start).  When it was my turn to shoot I couldnt find my release (which was a wrist strap style) so I got to use hers.  That was my first experience using one, I had to re-sight my bow in as we went along due to the different anchor spot.  Needless to say I didn't win anything.

butcha had fun though, right?

THAT'S what i like about it.
sometimes golfers get on me saying this is the same as golf. so i sometimes call this golf with high speed pointed sticks.  :rofl :D

i like the 3d course in harlesyville pa, as it's fairly mountianous....adds more of a challenge.

Archery and Golf are similar in some aspects, of course you can combine the 2!  Here is me at an Archery Golf shoot, ever done the archery golf?

I would love to be able to afford to travel to some shoots back east, I may have to go shoot tonight after all this talk!

nono.. was serious. i've only done the 3d shoots where they set up the targets at varying distances, and preferably making them hard.
i generqally never kept score when i go....i just look to see how deep into the kill zone i am...and enjoy the hike throught the woods........

Aaaah, maybe Archery golf is specific to Utah?  They set up a course and use a piece of firehose approx 7" as the "cup".  Most holes are a par2 anywhere from 20 to 60 yards, no backstops so if you miss your arrow can end up 100 yards away.  They did have one hole setup that was almost 500 yards, that was fun just to launch an arrow as far as you could towards the target.  The bad thing was they set the course up in some Rocky terrain, I think I ruined almost a dozen Gold Tip Ultralight Pro's that weekend (about $120.00 worth of arrows).  I havent been back since because I cant stand breaking that many arrows on rocks. It would be ideal if there was a nice grassy field somewhere without so many damn rocks.

that's easy......just buy cheap arrows for those shoots.

i'm gonna talk to my buddy.......see if he's heard of the golf thing around here...if so, i think we'll hafta try it this year.

out to about 40 yards, i rarely ever miss. past that, my accuracy drops siginificantly.....more like 50/50, so i could imagine launching some arrows.  :D

ooo...BTW........

Merry Christmas!

The problem is I am type A about being sighted in, I use a one pin sight and use Archers Advantage software to make my sight tapes.  Using different arrows would require adjusting my whole setup, printing out new sight tapes etc.  Plus the idea of buying arrows, no matter how cheap just to break them is something I just cant force myself to do.  I guess Aluminum arrows might be the answer there though, a bit more durable and a heck of a lot cheaper.   Cap, did you answer my question about being active on the archerytalk.com boards?  Are you familiar with archerytalk.com at all?

technically $40.00. he asked us to both donate 20.  :rofl

i think i'm jealous of those bows. i

i just finished mounting my traxis sight. it was a righty sight....but i adapted it to my bow anyway. it's too dark outside though to try to adjust it. maybe this weekend, i'll go to AIM, where i shoot......and get it adjusted in.
