Just like those P51 pilots who come in at 20k try to cherrypick and miss then run 10k away climb to 25K come back and try again then miss and run away like a little girl. Thats not a tactic thats "COWARDICE" what ya gonna lose a cartoon plane a point or 2 off youre rank. if ya get owned. Thats a boreing way to play a game built around ACM.....IMHO.

Was trying to take a base but long story short it ended up with me in a Spit 16 v 2x Spit 16 + 1 x IL-2.

Having shot down both Spits the IL-2 was remaining.  What should the IL-2 have done and guess what really happened.

1) Stay in and fight. 

2) Try and run to ack while the dead friendlies came to the rescue. 

3) Bail the moment my Spit had a chance of getting guns.

he shoulda stayed in and shot ya down. my understanding is that a good il2 pile-it can run circles around a few of the uber planes in here.

OK it's a 3 on 1.  The IL-2 was the lower contact through out the engagement but he gets at least two shots of at me whilst I'm engaged with both Spit 16's.  Having dispatched the 2 Spits I'm left with the IL-2 slightly lower below my six.  I nose over to see him do exactly the same but as soon as get 400 off him he BAILED. 

A lengthy PM ensued and it transpires that LTOWN has no respect for the way I play the game and that I am suspect and he wasn't going to give me free perkies. 

I so need those perkies  .  Perhaps he would have more respect for my game play if I porked and augured or bombed and bailed or suicided Cv's or indeed, followed his fine example of sportsmanship.

I think it does matter.  This guys example it's why we play here.  Would you like it if half the guys you up to fight just hit the silk.  It's gaming the game let alone cheesy after taking shots at me.  One could have more fun or a better challenge from off line AI.

I fly the IL-2 a lot and I love when a enemy con is engaged with 1 or 2 friendlies. I'm almost always able to, if not get a poke on him, at least throw him off his game so my guys can get him.

1 on 1 against a spit I go right to the deck until the grass is hitting the IL-2s belly. I try and get the fighter flat and force an overshoot, then hit him with the big guns as hes trying to get away. The good sticks wont flatten against an IL-2. They fight you in the vertical and then you have a big problem. Either way I never quit or run.

Lynx would be the last guy I'd want to IL-2 against a spit with. But I dont believe in passive fighting which is probably why my scores arent that good.
