It's not the fear of getting busted.

It's the fear of them finding out and taking it away (w/o charging me with a crime)

What exactly do you think happens to it in that situation?     :noid

Come to Tennessee but stay away from Memphis...  Only thing we really have to worry about where I live is a tornado.  Every time a Tornado comes to TN, it hits us first (being we're right across the river from Arkansas).  It's been really calm though lately.  Our Crime rates aren't that bad.  Like all towns we have our good people and bad people...but what am I to say...I dont like anybody  :D

I'm sure they are hiring VonMessa if you think you can do better.

That is if you can keep off the drugs long enough. :huh

I have literally been ticking the minutes away, wondering when your  $0.02 was going to arrive.

First of all, half of what I say is in jest.

Second of all, I commend you on your choice of profession, and I say this with all sincerity.

I should be clearer and more precise with my jabs.  By this, I mean that the root of most problems around here begin with the city.

I don't know where you work, but if it is in a metro area, you have probably seen it.

* Thugs that are better armed and better protected than the police are.

*  The municipality blatantly wasting taxpayer money where it is not needed, but crying poor when it comes to cops' salaries.

*  In the same vein, cutting the amount of police used to patrol the same (or larger) area

*  Cops taking payoff from thugs and getting a month's worth of salary in 1 bribe for looking the other way for 5 minutes (not because he is a "dirty" cop, but more so he can afford to send his kids to a school OUTSIDE of the city)

I could go on and on.  I do not envy you, or any other cop.

The city of Philadelphia has a new mayor, now, and lot of things are quickly changing for the better such as..

*  sing State police to patrol the highways and interstates in, and surrounding the city which frees-up more manpower for use inside the city.

*  Keeping a better budget for salaries, training, and modern armament/equipment.

*  A public statement from the mayor about how he will stand behind the police force when it comes to dropping crime rates in the city.

So far he has been backing up his words with action.

So..........

I'm not really cop-bashing.  It's more like a long-standing inside joke that someone would understand better if they were from around here, such as CAP1.

For as long as I can remember, it has been a toos up to which side of the river has the worst crime, Camden (NJ) or Philly.

Geez Messa. Your right! I used have used my ESP powers and figured all that out on my own instead of just figuring your a bong-hitting cop whiner.

Philly cops will bust you for dope, slap you around a bit. and then take your stash home for themselves.  That's why you never take everything that you have with you when you go out to party.

Lucky if Philly cops come within 1/2 hour.

Wouldn't work for me.

dude....even in light of what i said about the philly pd in the south street area......overall, von is correct about the philly pd. i've lived in this area my whole life. my ex wife is from northeast philly. while we were dating, then married, we lived in an apartment at frankford and rhawn. wasn't toooooo bad there back then......

we seperated, and i moved back to the PRNJ.

he is right though. come work in philly for a bit. you'll see.

ooo....and i don't drink, or do drugs. i do, however say what i feel, and see though.

I only call it as I see it.

I'm still wondering what town it is (or you can be vague and supply a region)  that you are an active duty police officer in.

How typical.

Returning my accolades and acknowledgments of being a policeman with barbs and 3rd grade name calling.

Well, at the Silverton, OR PD... They get one of their guys whose allergic to weed to take a whiff, if he breaks out, then someone gets to take it into State Police in Salem, and only god knows what happens after that. :D
Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are: You only
need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the
WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Used to train shepherds for the Reading, PA State Police with my mom.

Moth balls.

After smelling them, it makes it really hard to smell anything else for a while.

avoiding arrest through deception will only put off the inevitable because eventually druggies and criminals will make a mistake and get caught through their own stupidity. Police officers are only doing their job, and those of us who are law abiding citizens respect and commend them.

no place on this planet for drug users or sellers. distorting reality through drug use is a sign of a week mind and an inability to deal with problems.
