I'm sure they are hiring VonMessa if you think you can do better.
That is if you can keep off the drugs long enough.
I have literally been ticking the minutes away, wondering when your $0.02 was going to arrive.
First of all, half of what I say is in jest.
Second of all, I commend you on your choice of profession, and I say this with all sincerity.
I should be clearer and more precise with my jabs. By this, I mean that the root of most problems around here begin with the city.
I don't know where you work, but if it is in a metro area, you have probably seen it.
* Thugs that are better armed and better protected than the police are.
* The municipality blatantly wasting taxpayer money where it is not needed, but crying poor when it comes to cops' salaries.
* In the same vein, cutting the amount of police used to patrol the same (or larger) area
* Cops taking payoff from thugs and getting a month's worth of salary in 1 bribe for looking the other way for 5 minutes (not because he is a "dirty" cop, but more so he can afford to send his kids to a school OUTSIDE of the city)
I could go on and on. I do not envy you, or any other cop.
The city of Philadelphia has a new mayor, now, and lot of things are quickly changing for the better such as..
* sing State police to patrol the highways and interstates in, and surrounding the city which frees-up more manpower for use inside the city.
* Keeping a better budget for salaries, training, and modern armament/equipment.
* A public statement from the mayor about how he will stand behind the police force when it comes to dropping crime rates in the city.
So far he has been backing up his words with action.
So..........
I'm not really cop-bashing. It's more like a long-standing inside joke that someone would understand better if they were from around here, such as CAP1.
For as long as I can remember, it has been a toos up to which side of the river has the worst crime, Camden (NJ) or Philly.
