All this talk is giving me the urge to break out with my old copy of Rowan's Flying Circus Gold

Makes me feel like whipping out WarBirds. Gotta love Otto.

Two GIFs taken in game and edited with Growlers Guncam software. First film is in a Nieuport 28 of the 103rd Aero against a flight of Fokker D.VIIs. Got the first one with a quick burst (note the stopped prop as I overshoot), the second kept trying to run away and I kept having to pump a few rounds into or near him to make him turn so I could attack.

Second, again in a 103rd Aero Nieuport 28, is a pair of German observation baloons and DFW observation bombers. Those things are lethal, have a fast firing MG in the back and another up front. Note the Nieuport going down smoking in front of the first DFW I got- he was shooting him down while his gunner was trying to keep me from shooting him down :)

Really enjoying this one so far. :)

Best I've found is http://combatace.com/ but you have to be a paid member to download from their site. I'd suggest googling "First Eagles Addons" or "First Eagles" and the type of plane you're looking for. Most sites that have planes to DL also have maps, missions and campaigns to DL too. Just need to look around for what works for you.

Just ordered the game and hopefully the AI will prove to more challenging than the majority of players in here (sad thing is, the AI probably will).  Could you please post some links to any of the add on sites you recommend?

The link I posted is the best I've found, but since I have a stupid adware virus that crashes my IE whenever I try to use google, I can't really search for addons unless I use yahoo search, which is nowhere near as good.

The AI is really hit or miss, one mission you can get slaughtered by enemy fighters or cut to shreds by laser accurate gunners, and the next you can absolutely destroy them without a scratch. Much like real pilots- its not an across the board level field you go against. There are mods you can find for AI, both enemy pilots and gunners. Some fights are long and white-knuckle, others you can take out half a flight before they even notice you're there. I actually think thats quite realistic, and it makes it more unpredictable. A couple of easy flights, then you get bounced by a squadron of aces and have to fight like hell to survive.

Just remember, don't assume your first experience is how its always going to be, especially once you start adding mods. My first few flights I got creamed, then I cleaned house a few after that. Gotta fly it for a few days to really decide whether its for you.

Microshaft is simply evil, with no supernatural influence behind it. Wal*Mart and Firefox are tools of the AntiChrist.

Choice between man made evil and destroy the world evil, I'll take manmade.

Did you get that last update for Internet Explorer released by Microsoft? It fixes a major security hole which starts with symptoms you're describing (IE Crashing).  Check the windows update website to make sure:

www.windowsupdate.com

If anything is listed under the, "High Priority" section you need to get those updates and install them. Afterward it might be wise to run a free online scan here:
