Are you still failing to see the difference in people caring about gameplay as compared to "omg i need to run away to preserve my ranking!  run run run"  ?

Not very hard to differentiate.

21 kills per hour and 31 hit % are to be beaten. Almost impossible, you'd need extraordinary luck for that... or a willing squadmate...

And that's the way shade vulchers (for rank purposes) in EW have adapted. Excessive kills on same player are easily detected now, but it's sufficient to kill a friend 13 times in fighter mode, and then 600 more kills on other players in attack mode. Almost impossible to detect, unless someone  :noid watched the stats very carefully at the beginning of a tour

lusche  shade account to watch lancs take off he brags he only kills bombers in fighter mode is why he has high hit % he waits till he sees 1=r 2 sets  lancs take off ups to kill

shouldv;e seen him bigplay and grumpy37 say i'm the one score potatoing. larry was lhis arse off. at the irony

This is an easy fix. Yahoo pool game figured it out years ago. Your rank is based on the skill of the person you kill.  Have a low score kill someone at higher rank get more points for that kill. Have a high score kill someone with lower score get less points for that kill.  And don't say all the nobs :D like me will start the ho war of the century it takes two to ho if one plane doesn't want to ho just turn away.  Just my 2cents worth.

BUT HOW CAN THE game determine someones skill?

there's guys in here that are VERY good cartoon pile-its, but have poop for score, because they don't care. then there's the guys that couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag with a knife. they "game the game", and have excellent scores.

how would the system determine their respective skill levels?

it takes two to ho if one plane doesn't want to ho just turn away.
This is an incorrect statement.  It only takes one to HO, I dodge  them constantly, I get hit about 1-- 2% of the time, and that is usually because I am in stall fight with someone else and cant turn or dodge out of the way.

I agree completely, I know in two instances last camp where I tried to avoid the ho and got nailed anyway. The only thing I think though is what could I have done differently. Obviously I'm not going to change the way another player flies.

You guys talking about Biggamer's rank from Tour 106?

If you are, you have to realize what type of player you are talking about.  He was caught a few months ago vulching shade accounts with Dextur and Axer to get top scores in the MW arena and he's just found another way to game the score/rank system.  Though, he will deny it to high heaven that he doesn't play for score/rank, his actions speak the opposite.  He craves the validation and *giggle* respect that comes with being a good stick, of which he'll never receive through normal game play because he lacks the skills to acheive no higher than being a mediocre player.  He feels that if he can somehow show he's #1 in the MW, he'll get the accolades he so craves but doesn't realize that the route he takes to acheive that 'Experten' status will be forever tarnished because he had to game his way to the top.

So what does he do now to acheive the top spot?  He'll only engage in fighter sorties where he has a high probability of a kill without any risks (i.e. vulching, shooting down bombers) and after a handful of sorties, he will then score all of his flights under 'Attack' to prevent his fighter score from taking a hit when he routinely gets his arse handed back to him by the most average player.

Basically, he's a kid looking for love in all the wrong places.

ack-ack

sad but true, he isn't a bad kid but he is  as misguided as they get. He is addicted to being a score dweeb and try as he might he always returns to his ways. It's his $ so he can play how he wants but he is always seeking approval from the AH community which unfortunately only brings out the repromanding he loaths. I believe he could become a very well rounded player if he left the rank stigma behind but sad to say that probally won't happen.
