So what? The Tallboy/Grand Slam requests followed the Lancaster too, same as the requests about making B-25's available from CVs ...  ;)

I'll just be satisfied to get the B-25s rockets and external bomb pylons....

So how about it costing bomber perks everytime to strap on anything bigger than 250# bomb to a fighter.  It was very very rare that fighters carried such heavy bombs anyway.  Forget the B-29! for now anyway.

500s were not uncommon.

It would also have to depend on the type of aircraft and the arena, as well. By the end of the war 1000lbers were NOT uncommon for some American fighters.

Now, Tiny Tims, OTOH....

There should be a version of a B-25 for the CV, i mean it was used to give japan breakfast then the B-17's and 24's were lunch and B-29 = nuke, made dinner.

I should make a thread or not, maybe.

There should be a version of a light weight B-25 for the CV, i mean it was used to give japan the breakfast then the B-17's and 24's were lunch and B-29 = nuke, made dinner.

You comment makes no sense to anybody remotely familiar with WWII history.

Yes. It sounds like ONE sortie out of the thousands flown.

Save it for Special Events.

I know quite a bit about the Doolittle raid.  You seem to think it was significant enough to warrant something it does not.  It was pure propaganda, very effective propaganda, but it had no effect on the Japanese capabilities.

B-17s and B-24s did not have much effect on the war in the pacific either.  The B-29 did have a large effect of course.

I've been saying for quite some time that a there are 4 buffs that should be perks now as it is simply due to their destructive power, their ability to defend themselves, and the range they possess.

Lancs, B24, B17, and B26.  If the Ar234 is perked for its speed... then why not the raw destructive power for those I just metioned?

If the Ar234 is perked at 60 for a "norm", the try the Lancs at 12, the B24's at 9, B17's at 7, the B26's at 5.

Stop and think of how many bomber perk points we have built up.  Stop and think what we spend them on.  Stop and think how easy they are to earn... still think perking the bombers is a bad idea???  Why?

Because the Lanc, B-17 and B-24 are not survivable and were in no way rare in the real deal.

The idea of perking those three is absurd.

Bomber drones don't belong in the game simply because of how much they warp, how much they're abused (flight of Lancs carpet-bombing gv battles), and their violation of the 1 player 1 aircraft/vehicle principle.

If that weren't bad enough, bomber drones can't follow their leader through a sharp turn (they'll explode), but they can follow their leader through an Immelmann.
