Hi

Citabria G10 is not comparable to niki in this regard. It cant turn, it has the worst high speed handling of the fast planes in AH, it cant roll well , it only has 60 rounds of ammunition which is only effective at 300yds or less, the 13mm are almost useless, it has a very short combat endurance, it compresses almost immediatly in a dive, the cannon has very poor balistics-so shooting it the turn is extremly difficult, its only very fast as long the MW lasts, yak is almost as fast low and typhoon is quite a bit faster on deck, damn near every plane out-turns it at most speeds, at high speeds p51, 190, typhoon, p47, p38, yak can fly cicrles around the nearly compressed G10. It quite easy to avoid gunnery passes of  G10 - as Funked pointed out a little while ago. Its only real advantages are good accel and climbrate and high speed, but these are all very difficult to use to defeat someone and get the kill. This is not true of the nikis attributes of good climb at slow speeds, 4 high velocity 20mm cannon with hundreds of rounds, best turning save zero, but better than zero at high speeds, it can outclimb p51s at 28k, again as you said its a much more "sledgehammer g pulling" type plane. Certaily there can be no sledgehammer behavior in a G10 if you wish to survive and get kills. G10 is dangerous if flown right but it just isnt in the same class as niki. Of course im biased being a G10 driver, but I really dont see how G10s attributes place it in the same ease of use class as the niki.
i consider myself a pretty good G10 pilot, and it seems kills came easier to me when I flew nikis for a long while 2 tours ago. I certainly had many many more 5 or 6 kill single flights with one load of ammo. Nonetheless I enjoy flying my G10.

thanks GRUNHERZ

The G-10 had 6500 kills last tour.  The other 5 axis planes combined for 7200.

Those people complaining about how tough a G-10 is to fly, picked it because it handles more like a Spit than any other LW plane available.  It had a K/D against fighters better than the N1K, Spit or P-51.

Complain all you want about uber-aircraft.  Just hope they don't start singling out LW iron.

The LW pilots are just as selective when it comes to selecting the best aircraft as opposed to their favorite ride.

Cit was right.  Style is picking the plane that you love and flying it... not picking the easiest to kil in and flying that instead.  Oh, yeah.. at least you're picking LW iron right?  Same attitude with a limited perspective.

MC.202 and 205 are definitely style incarnates. Just look at that Italian design  . Also a certain style but of a different sort can be found in the Spitfires (all of them except the ones with bubble canopies) and in the Fw 190-D models.

Style is epitomized in the Constellation. But we don't have that so I'd say the Macchi 205 is tops in style.
Course I lean towards the full figure gal so the Jug really gets my libido going.

...and now Cit, how about a Jerry Springer ending to your topic?

"Planes that have style....and AH players that don't!"

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

P-51 Baby!!

Its like driving a Chevy Corvette.  Its a true blue American performance machine (ok ok, yes I know it has the British Merlin engine  ) with none of that neuvoriche Euro-trash look to it (just kidding my Eurofriends).

It screams "drive me fast and I'll treat ya right".  Plus...EVERYONE has got to love the color silver!

Plus, everyone I see flying a P-51 is the coolest in the game! LOL!
