:cry :cry :cry I want people to play how *I* think is the right way to play! :cry :cry :cry

Fixed.

Let the NOE hordes play their game and you go play yours. If it's a front-line base you should expect it to come under attack. If it's a rear base how does it interfere with your game? For that matter, if a rear base starts flashing that should be a pretty big clue something's up ANYWAY so you don't even NEED the dar bar.

What's the big deal if someone gets a kick out of rolling undefended bases? There's plenty of others out there looking for actual fights. Go play with them and let the guys who don't have their fun.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Perhaps I misread your post?

Logically, I concluded that anyone requesting that dar bars operate at ground level would be making an attempt to discourage 30 v. 2 NOE raids.

And encourage 30 vs. 30 military disasters  :D

If I was getting paid for base captures, I would go with NOE smash and grab every time.

If this were a real war, and X technique were so much more effective, I'd say, Hell yeah, let's concentrate on that.

This is a game though, games can be and are manipulated to increase variety/interest all the time.

Puck I agree, it should be lowered to 100, giving NOE-ers an opportunity to run those type of missions, but rick losing 3/4 of their pilots in the process  :devil

Go too much lower than 500 feet and you won't be able to do Poetsi-type heavy buff raids.  While some may like that idea, I think it takes away too many kills - er - too much fun from some players.

My vote (as if I had one) would be to leave things it like it is.  Bases flashing are enough notice of an incoming attack IMO.

Nonsense.  The pilots would get there just fine.  The rest of the pudknockers might have to find a different route.
