You may be doing all the work in slowing down a con and some helpful country mates come along with cannons to clear your 12 for you.

This happened to PK1 last night over 156.    :rofl    I wasn't the culprit either.   But the exchange on range was priceless.

I love it when your on someone and have worked to get on thier 6.  Your still working the SA and you see a high con diving to pick all the while your "friendly countrymate" is diving on your con and completely ignoring the high con diving on you.  I get vocal sometimes on range also.  Or your on someone and you get a check 6, break only to have the guy that gave the check 6 get the kill...pretty underhanded.

....and you wonder why "kids" get treated like crap? If a plane is going down, you let it go down, even if someone stole the kill from you. Of course you won't learn things like that at "quake island" in the DA.

As one can see by my lousy fighter scores I pretty much suck one on one.  My assist is almost 50%.  I have my conv set 400 with guns in wings, and all the way out in planes with guns in the nose.  My question is at 400- 600 on the enemy icon is he actually at 400-600?

And where in the Heck can i get better at dog fighting?  Since April 2008 Ive spent an average of 100-170 hours a month on line: and at least 10-20 hours offline shooting those little red guys at my base , and don't seem to get below 2000 -3000 fighter rank. :cry

Anny help would be appreciated Thank You; Angels10 :salute

My question is at 400- 600 on the enemy icon is he actually at 400-600?

0 - 99 = d0
100 - 299 = d200
300 - 499 = d400
500 - 699 = d600
700 - 899 = d800
900 - 999 = d1000

1000 - 1249 = d1.0K
1250 - 1749 = d1.5K
1750 - 2250 = d2.0K

To answer your main question: The best thing you can do to get better @ dogfighting is by getting someone better to show you. Could be a a trainer or just an experienced player - many of the best dogfighters in AH2  are more than willing to help other players.

The second best way (and the one that I went) is to film all your fights and examine afterwards what went right and what went wrong. If there's a film you find particularly notable, you may post it in Help & Training forum and ask for reviews.

A final note: It may be helpful to look at your stats to get a rough idea how you are doing and if you are getting any better... but forget about the rank numbers for now ;)

Ty Sir :salute    Guess my time in offline practice against the little red airplanes would have been better spent on line with a trainer. "Angels10 crawls off with tail between legs to the training arena"
