Someone cheesed me off this morning
« on: April 25, 2009, 12:40:21 AM »
Name'o Dastardly.

All I did was attack a Spit he thought he was entitled to.

I didn't see his name on it, and his bellybutton didn't help out and I ended up gettin waxed.

I will attack any red guys I see at any time and I will not ask permission.

I actually found myself getting REALLY pissed.

Congrats,  you got to me.

Just out of curiousity, was he already engaged with the Spit?  If so, you probably aren't going to get lots of sympathy.  If he came into your fight  it would be a different story.

Essentially what you've said is you'll take any kill you can get regardless of circumstances.  Alot of us will ask first so that we don't ruin a good 1 v 1 for someone else.

Anyone else find that comical besides me?

We both got there at the same time.

Regardless, I like to "pretend" it's a real war.

How many times in WWII did people sit around and watch while their countrymen "dueled," an enemy?

How did it work out for them?

Anyway, it was right over an enemy airfield where cons were upping; etc..

Whatever, I'm attacking unless I see a high con coming in.

If he was already engaged you are in the wrong and deserved to not have any help. I would have left you to die and then laughed when you did. Also is school out already? I am seeing alot more new ppl.

I agree with guppy 100%. If he was already engaged you are in the wrong and deserved to not have any help. I would have left you to die and then laughed when you did. Also is school out already? I am seeing alot more new ppl.

Well, if he got any lead on him, he'd get the kill if I took'em out.

This concept is foolish.

Go to the DA or something if you want to dance around the sky like Robin Goodfellow.

LOL sounds like you are just mad b/c you couldn't handle a 1vs1 maybe you should go to the TA. I also hear there is alot of ganging in the DA maybe that should be where you fly.

With any luck, you'll grow out of this phase and figure out it's a game, and that the challenge is in the fight, not the path of least resistance or in this case being that worked up about getting your pixels waxed.

The second we get to one life and you never get to play again, then you can talk to me about it being a war and flying like it is one.  Until then, you have nothing to lose by playing the game.  No one really dies and planes are free :)

If Dastardly was on it, it was dead, period. In "real war" terms, you are more useful keeping watch while building  your E-state to deal with any possible incoming additional bandits than trying to shoot the walking, er, flying dead out from in front of Dast.

So you should probably terminate your account after your first death to be 'historically accurate'.

Box, I'm glad to see you're posting on here actually. You were one of 4 that were ganging me last night.
You're going to find that it's best to leave certain fights alone if they don't ask for help. There's a lot more sport and enjoyment in a 1vs1 fight. This is a game. We play it for the sport and fun.

There is your problem right there. This ISNT a real war it's a video game. The sooner you learn that the better. Its always best to ask if someone needs help before jumping in. If you don't you might get POed next time your getting ganged and that guy you just stole a kill from is circling the fight laughing at you. Iv done this to people like you many times. But unlike most people Id actually be laughing at you on vox just to piss you off more. Then when the enemy has killed you Id go fight them.

I say this a lot and I sure most 'fighter' vets would agree with it. I would rather die in a good 1v1 then have someone come 'help' me by picking the guy I'm fighting.

You are all part of the problem. No sense of team.

And I really think this is more about stats and bragging rights than anything else.

I will take help at all times. Every time someone asks if I wnat help, I say yes.

As I get better, I will never get PO'd for someone helping out.

You're gonna sit back and laugh as a teammate gets shot down?

And if it's "just a game," why would you all be getting PO'd at someone jumping in?

I wasn;t the first to get angry here.
