Star Trek 2009
« on: May 08, 2009, 12:38:44 AM »
Very very interesting movie and I enjoyed watching it. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it an 8. Pretty good story IMO and alot of the charaters are spot on like Dr. McCoy. I know some of you are far bigger critics than I am but I'd recommend seeing it at least once before you claim JJ Adams murdered the film.  :D

I'll go see it tomorrow. Ive been mesmerized by ST ever since the show came out in 1967.

You young people may not believe it now, watching that old tripey show now, but at the time it was cutting age television. Both cultural and EFX-wise. It only lasted 3 seasons and was only mildly successful. But look at the Legs she showed lasting all these years.

I just saw it. They really tried to tell to long a story in to short a time. I would have liked to see them take a chance and do something original rather then the same old tired "villian" thing. I have no regrets about paying the $6.50 tho. It was fun and Uhura is hot!!! It was worth the price just to see her in skivies.

No more spoilers, You'll have to see it yourself.

Went to the theater for a 1pm show and it turned out to be an IMAX showing.  Wife groaned at the cost but what the heck you only live once.

Great Moive, lots of fun, lots of things to see and experience.  Will definately watch it over several times on DVD as I know I missed some stuff, it moved fast constantly..

Loved it too.

No spoilers, but they did a very nice job of both respecting (and referencing) the old material while taking things in new directions.
