You realize it's all scripted, right? Set up the shots you want and fly with FRAPS running and you will get all the in game effects including TrackIR views and in-game damage, no matter which game.
Kermit's "Doolittle" film is an example of this. Have people fly where he wants them while everyone films and edit it all together.

Only one person was filming...me. And it took lots of people to step up and coordinate those maneuvers and timing, all while dealing with LAG and the CV being at different places for everyone. Lots of patience and individual ingenuity was required for that film. Many times, I would have each person find a spot, and act out a scene however they deemed it should play out, while I did my best to follow behind them. The film viewer was never touched for that film. If I mess up in the filming, and the actors did a good job, we'd have to do it again. Of course, I'd simply say you didn't do it right instead of blaming it on me for not hitting the record button.

I actually confessed when it was my fault.
My other films, except for Carrier Sortie, were not scripted.
I'm not hoping for AH to record TIR movements, but what I do hope for is that TIR get enabled inside the Film Viewer. That would be sweet! Also, it feels like the game animations are also not complete in the film viewer. With these two additions to the film viewer, I would use the film viewer for more shots. This would allow me more freedom in the editing process. I could go back at anytime and get another POV of the scene. For now, I'll just have to keep doing simple camera tricks to make it seem like there are multiple cameras during a scene.
I am salivating on the thought of the new terrain being released soon! Hope they fix the horizon thing as well as the sun shinning through mountains. It's as if the sun is really a tiny dot, and some glow effect is being attached to it. Perhaps increasing the size of the Sun (not the size of glow), would help.
