not exactly in every case but wasn't the P-39 a widely requested add on to the game only to become a "drag queen"
I understand it would still be useful in the FSO and special event's, being why I mentioned that in the first place if you all were paying attention to my last post. But in the MA (Main Arena) it would probably just get owned 9 times out of 10. Not exactly sure but I heard it was replaced by the F4F wildcat in WWII and that even bird doesn't hardly see the use it should.
I don't think that the P-39 was replaced by the F4F as the P-39 was land based and the F4F was more of a naval plane, so, don't know for sure, but I'd assume that's like saying that AWACS replaced the battleship...
I think that hanger queens get the nickname they do because of the widespread use of the 'uber' planes. Hell, the p-39's always a fun ride, the mossy, a blast (got a good pic of my mossy blowing a p39 outta the sky.

), it's all about who wants to take the time to learn them. Each plane has it's plus and minuses. And part of being a good 'pilot' is knowing how to use your planes disadvantages to your advantage. Take the p-40 for example, slow and stalls easy, put her into a good stall fight and and pull up, stall your plane out, work the stall, and you can easily have the upper hand. Knowing your aircraft is 3/4 of the battle. The other 1/4 is who's in the other plane.
