    • -You go to a fight where you're a rook (for example) and you see 3 bish hording a knight..you decide to even the odds some and attack the bish.  The solo knight in his infinite wisdom decides to attack you during the fight.

This one always amazed me.. Even when flying in a 3 country furball in MA.  I always point out the fact I was going to let the tard live if he didn't try and get guns on me.

Random idea:  In the DA, you only cause damage if the guy you shoot at has acknowledged your challenge.  e.g. via a check 6-like function.
Flaws: Makes many-vs.-many fights complex as english manners because you'd easily have a queue of challenges to vet.  The simplest possible mechanism (1 item-long queue, 1 button press to accept challenge) would fail... Next simplest would be a ~10 item buffer, and two buttons.  One accept, one reject.  You press those and sort thru the list of challenges by order of reception.  Either have the challenger info (matching what you see on your end, e.g. "Plane type, range, maybe player name") in the text buffer (like join requests), or have the icon and dar dot light up while the challenge is in limbo.
Best idea I've heard yet Moot :salute

    :lol

I agree with strip, if there is less than 20 people or so it seems better than when there is 40-50 in there.

    Look people,

I thought I made my "opinion" clear but I think a lot of you have misunderstood my position.

I agree with everyone about the state of the DA furball lake. It is filled with a bunch of retards..no doubt about that.

I did not mean to offend anyone...especially baldeagle.

I seem to have a fun time in there but that is because I have flown there so much that most of the lemmings know me now. I seem to get a little slack from time to time. They KNOW it's me when the see a lower K4 flying around the base of their mountain. Often I do get fair fights. Other times they take great joy in killing me. It seems to be a contest among them to see who can kill Agent first. I will even get on all channel and tell them I am there and where I will be.

I just dont take anything in there personally.

I look at it as a challenge to fly around there and try to get kills without getting killed myself. As has been stated in this thread many times, the place is a cess pool of retards with no skill. But "I" don't care. I get to practice multi con engagment and do it rather quickly. No flight time to get in a fight.

Perhaps some of you are much better pilots than me and find the place boring.

I know its a gang fest...etc (insert all the bad words here)

My post were more about why I fly there or why one should fly there than about why it is a cess pool and what can be done about it.

I guess if the furball lake was made into its very own areana we would have nothing to squeak about. The DA would just be the place to go for dualing. The "furball areana" would be a place to go if your into (insert all the bad words here) and play.

My whole point hinges on people who expect some kind of honerable fight in the lake. Hell, we don't get that in any of the MA areana's.

I just don't understand why you guys are beaten me up over basically saying "don't go in there if you don't like the way things are. Just stay out and fly in the MA or find a private dual on one of the fields"

Why am I a bad guy for saying that?

    snip....
Oh yeah and the line by line quote. It's supposed to show how absurd it is to repeat the same argument, paraphrased.  Be offended if you must, but if I argued that way, I'd expect as much.

Well moot you can stick that up your butt.

I am sorry that I am not as intelligent as you and don't argue my point to your satisfaction. The last time I checked it was ok to have an opinion in here.

I've turned it sideways and shoved it .. Doesn't seem to make me change my mind: that saying the same thing over and over is no more convincing than saying it once.  :)
No one's beating up anyone.  Just disagreeing and arguing why.

    That's very very low.

There's a precedent for it.  Another way to look at it:  If the DA was only as bad as the MA (mediocre plane diversity, mediocre attempts at fighting but attempts at least, mediocre player distribution/density), there probably wouldn't be half as much complaining.  It would still be a pretty low status quo, but already nearly good enough.
