If you find vulching boring then you're doing it wrong.

ack-ack

Try it with a B25H. Its fun to watch that 75mm fly for a second or two while the guy on the runway is rolling right into it.

The thing I just don't get is: what's so fun about shooting helpless planes?  I might be able to understand that this might be the only way a raw noob can get a kill and it makes him/her feel better, but I can't see what it is about vulching that would make any of you vets feel good.

Do you get a kick out of shooting at the .target bullseye too?

I guess for me it goes back to my first days in Airwarrior.  I quickly learned that the guys with the high scores spent all their time vulching.  it was the old VoD bit.  There was little respect for those guys within the game and it was certainly passed on to me as a then newbie that it was not the way to play the game and meant nothing.

I've never really gotten past that, nor do I want to.  It's pointless to me.  Again to each his own.  Base taking seems pointless to me too so clearly I lack imagination :)

A few of us 80th types uppped light B25s to go dogfight in, going on the deck to the nearest field.  Folks were PMing guys telling us how terrible we were as we couldn't even knock out the radar.  LOL we weren't trying, we were just doing dumb stuff as we're apt to do.

KNOW WHAT USED TO BE REALLY fun in the rr arenas?

when i was bored, me and a friend would de-ack the field, and land. we'd sit right behind the spawn, and wait. got a lot as they spawned. then when the ack came back up, it'd be a panic to get outta dodge before death.  :rofl :rofl :rofl

Of two things in life I am certain.  Bacon tastes good, and vulching is fun.

This is possibly the most "OVERUSED" and LAME excuse for vulching  :aok  Tis easy enough to supress uppers from just outside field gun range!!! <---- (this being the prefered method of getting kills for majority of peeps in AH)  :rofl When taking a base IF the gayng will allow uppers to just get wheels up and 200 meters from the edge of the base, you would have far more peeps upping to try and save the base  :rofl When the vulch is on most folks stop defending as they see it pointless to try!! So you vulchingayngtards are just limiting your own fun and "score padding" by setting up the vulch in the 1st place :aok

There is a natural cycle to the AH fight, 1 country is getting spanked just off their base untill the fight moves to the other country' base and so on and so on, back and forth we go!! It is when the dolts set up the vulch at 1 of these bases that ruins the natural "ebb and flow" of the Aces High experience!-----> So stop it!
Vulching is only a tad more pathetic than picking...oh ya, forgot who I was talking to :lol

either way what grips me about vulching is the 200 chat afterwards, like "i pwnd you big time"   as I get shot starting my engine LOL. or
as someone said, u r just upping
and a fighter (p38) is at 1,000 screaming in at u at 300mph and you turn back to ack for cover cause you are at 200' and 170 mph, and they say on 200, u got yur but kicked etc. or so and so ran back to his ack.

to try and gain an advantage is the whole point, I would think.

I guess it is really the 200 rub your nose in it bravado that I could do with out. If the lamp is lit, i just go somewhere else. sometimes I watch from tower and scud run flat (when the way is clear) out at 5 feet to climb up farther out

wow this is great stuff guys...
i know some of you that are all saying you never vulch or that you think its cheap or that it lacks ethics...LMMFAO
when i am at a capped base and the tard is stupid enough to try to up....hes dead! and most of the time i cant even get in for the kill cause
a lot of you so called :i never do that: guys are sending tracers through my plane just to get one more kill.
GET REAL folks. if your trying to capture a base your really gonna let the guy get wheels up so he has a fighting chance?
I doubt it very much but you all just keep riding that tiny life raft of BS and say you would never ever do that cause your such good people and all.
I am not confused at all that if i up from a capped field i may be vulched so most of the time i choose not to do it. does it anger me when i get vulched....yep but i am responsible for that.

i would bet the author of this thread spends a lot of time getting vulched trying to save already lost bases.

Flame away......

What I like is when you try to up from a capped base, start the engine and the wheels just start to roll and then someone in the tower gives you the inevitable check 6 like there's some magic move your going to make to avoid getting vulched.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Vulching to prevent any uppers to go for the goon, yeah I'll do it. I hate hearing people complain about the goon getting shot down.

If I'm not capturing a base I won't vulch, mainly because the ack is deadly and its not worth it.
