Just dont blame HTC !! they are doing what they have wanted froim the start , create a game that all will enjoy for a minimum  amount .

HTC is trying to retain all of the current players.  HiTech has posted that if 95% stay, it will be too low.

I agree with the priority of simulation over eye candy.  But, in the early 21st century, we can have both. 

Consider the cost per hour of this game as entertainment.  Factor in a complete new computer, spread out over three years.  It is still a bargain compared to most other mainstream hobbies like golf, hunting or fishing.

And the new computer can be used for all other non AH2 software.

I feel Zero sympathy, simply do to the fact that he is crying with out trying.  On our slow machines that we test on frame rate improved slightly from the previous version.

One thing that continually amazes me are the whiners who complain about having to spend money. Free to download and you'll spend $179.40 per year on subscription. To hold your own in any situation you'll need to spend $538.20 by my reckoning. Heck thats less than 50 cents a day! Not a lot of stuff out there that has minimum specs like this -

MrYellow have you read the forums? Have you tried the beta? Have you turned down the graphics? Hitech posted they have seen improved frame rates from the previous versions.

Believe it or not, I actually saved up for a system upgrade. I know it is hard to believe with all the bailouts and the entitlement mentality.

Must have one piss poor computer or internet connection...my little dual core 2.4Ghz system with a 9600gt is getting 75 fps using the 512 graphics mode...and no lag.

My 3.06GHz P4, 2GB RAM, and 128MB 6800 will run the HiRes package and full slider settings at the monitor refresh currently and sat at around 40 in the first BETA release w/o the HiRes package. The thing's 5 years old...I don't see how you could get much more compatible than that.

Funny I took the beta for a spin offline and I was getting better frame rates than old aces high around problem area like trees and ack.

I would agree that for games like il2 it is too much even with it turned right down graphics wise it still lacks smoothness, I can't see aces high being that way one of the great things about it is you can adjust so many settings to suit, compare that to il2 and ww2 online none of these games offer so much user friendly adaptabilty in as many areas, and they suffer badly for it.
