Wow, lots of stuff on the list that I grew up with.

100 Things Your Kids May Never Know

I especially got a kick out of these three:

80. Starbuck being a man.
81. Han shoots first.
82. “Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father.” But they’ve already seen episode III, so it’s no big surprise.

Couple things not listed.

Adjusting he rabbit ears on the TV to get better reception. Or running a wire fro the antenna to the big 3 ft high steam radiator to get better reception.

Drive in movies

Dialing a phone number on the phone by sticking your finger in a hole on a wheel and spinning it clockwise several times

10 cent phone calls or a phone booth

Getting into a fight without legal ramifications for the winner

My last experiences with these two were in the Spring of 2000. I had to much tin-foil on my rabbit ears that it looked like modern art. Of, those were the days. I miss college :)

6a.  Vert and Horiz  knobs.. and actually having to use them.

6b.  Rooftop antenna rotors.. and how it sucked in the winter when it was frozen pointed to PBS.

Climbing the rope in gym class ( my elementary had one that went from the floor to the ceiling of the gymnasium, it must have been 3 stories high, could you imagine that in an elementary these days? )

The sound of a Chevy Vega with no muffler

Going to bed with all the doors of the house unlocked

Combat for Atari

Weeble Wobbles  ( weebles wobble but they dont fall down  lol )

Starblazers ( cartoon ) oh and not to mention the original Tom and Jerry cartoons and the Wacky Racers, Banana Splits and Sigmund the Seamonster

World at War  Sunday nights, or the Muppets TV show

Toy guns w/o the orange tip

Tree Forts built by us and not store bought ( I have no idea how we survived in some of the things we built )

Great Post, man i could go on and on

I know this one...
Programing teacher gave us some old comps that had 340 meg harddrives for our final, and gave us a program to write that if it wasn't *perfect* would take about 15 minutes to load. :D Done right, it only took about 5 minutes... Whole point was to show how important using the smallest variable type (int rather double stuff like that) really can be. Prolly the best teacher I've ever had cause of how he taught. ;)
