I love the Spixteen!

Perkies be damned. I just can't keep away from the Spixteen. I just feel like there's nothing it can't do.

Had a really good day today, went from a .53 or so k/d to .71 right now. Two big factors in my improvement....finally getting used to the rudder pedals, and two hours I spent in training arena the other week.

Yes I care about my k/d. Someday soon I will be +. Main problem is when I get frustrated and keep trying to up at a vulched base,

Anyways, I love the Spixteen.

Well, it's called Late War for a reason.

I have no problem waxing Brewsters and other rides that just can't get'er done.

The Brwesters and what not seemed good at first but now they should stay in MW.

It's one thing to like the Spit16 for its overall easy-mode characteristics. It's quite another to stick with it as your only ride of choice with no desire for challenging yourself in a LESS-than-uber aircraft.

I prefer the 14 for a perk ride, as it is far more difficult to outrun a 14 than a 16. I mean, the spit 16 tops out at 325 on the deck with WEP, so a hog can easily out run one, even with 1 1/2 wings rather than 2.

I flew the 16 until I started being able to kd + 2 now I fly the 9 for an easy life and the 14 for the challenge. I also fly the Typhoon and the mossie and have to dogfight in them sometimes so I know how tough it can be in some planes.  When you first start out the game is hard enough without worrying about being accued of flying an easy plane. Later on you want to try something else.   :aok

Loving the spitxteen is like falling in love with a highly skilled slut. Sure, she satisfies your short term urges instantly, but shes just too easy to get into bed and the novelty should wear off after one night.
