I wouldn't even mind if you bumped the sub rate to 19.95!
Remind me not to have PFactorDave do any negotiating for me.

Changing to WW I would require changes/elimination of major current game components.  No naval aviation.  Limited ground vehicles.  Limited bombing.     No paratroopers.  Heck, even limited bailing out.  Only European maps.  Smaller distances.  No radar.  Airfields that are actually fields.

For the record, it is all very appealing to me.  It seems like a lot of work for HTC.  If they offered a WW I arena and aircraft to the same standards as the current AH 2, it would be great.  For the effort though, it could end up being a fringe arena, like Early War or AvA.

WWI would be interesting... however there's another air war that appeals to me more...

Spanish Civil War would be cool.  As would the invasion of France.  As would early China theater stuff, maybe Khalkhin Gol.

The plane sets would be very cool, but also very early.  Bf 109B anyone?

Is it worth the efforts by HTC?

Ahhh but you're missing some vital components there (if HTC were to actually do it)...no 3 plane flight of Lancs carpet bombing a town to rubble in one run...no serious puffy ack.

There was some naval aviation during WWI...http://www.historyofwar.org/articles/weapons_HMS_Campania.html

If gv's were introduced it could be something like these: http://www.wio.ru/tank/ww1tank.htm
No 5k one shot kills...and you can't take those out by strafing them...LOL

Of course HTC probably could do it but like Shiv said...the novelty would wear off quickly.

As i recall, the WW1 arena in AW was usually fairly empty.  The slow speed fights were a lot of fun but the novelty seemed to wear off real quick after a few fights and also trying to deal with the weird biplane views.

This is Aces High.   Excuses of the past are null and void and I believe Dale knows this.   There is a substantial WWI "following" in this Community.

The views of the infancy of Aviation will take a back seat to the better fights.

As I mentioned in another thread, they could always build a WW1 plane for an Evil Con Mission and conveniently forget to disable it later :D

C'mon, there must have been SOME country that had an old clunker flying around during WW2?

I'm sure there are a lot of people outside of aces high tht would love a good WWI sim. And from the reports I'm hearing abot RoF, they are still waiting for one. I'd be intersted, would I fly it exclusivley? Hell no, but would venture in there quite often

I call the Brewster the evilest little plane ever invented, and the I-16 the semi-annoying gnat :)

Count me in!  :aok

Also, this might be an arena where TrackIr is more useful (I have a feeling I would use it exclusively in a WWI arena).

I would equally support either a WW1 arena, or a Korea arena.

If I had to pick, the nod would go to Korea, but just slightly.
