About numbers of planes produced: some keep forgetting that 100 planes produced in Germany 1944 could not be the same as 100 planes produced in US 1944.

And even those German planes would sit on the ground because of lack of pilots and fuel.

Maybe you should think of relation of planes produced vs planes operational ?

Glunz is right.Ive read accounts of horrendous problems with logistics in the later stages of WW2.Apparently a dozen sets of wings would arrive from one factory and the other parts didnt arrive at all. Most destroyed by heavy allied ground attacks on transport trains etc.
What we were refering to with the production numbers was the simple matter of if they were rare as rocking horse toejam in the war they 'should' be rare in this game.
You dont agree with that toad/dowding?
so when we used it as a reason for a perk (on top of the fact 25% of kills were by one aircraft) you said it didnt matter.Well NOW you are trying to claim it does matter and try to use the same reason to argue against adding rare planes.
I think the rarer in WW2 the rarer in AH.
if it didnt see action dont add it.
I play AH because i like WW2 planes not the korean war planes like the super late P51 models.what is it you allied flyers are asking for now? the P51H to Z ?   lol use what ya had IN ww2 please. If we start asking for planes that DIDNT see action but were designed to prototype stage you will see LW beating everything hands down.Secret weapons was germanys forte and only the fact they had no fuel etc stopped them.HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT THEY WERE DEVELOPING? i shudder to think what would have happened if they kept us from overunning them and had the chance to build those machines in numbers.
I didnt vote for the do 335 because it didnt see any action.Although there are references to special forces using them for evaluation flights.(whether these were in combat is not clear)

just browsing again through these vote posts dowding and again you start turning the debate into an arguement.

quite funny to see you constantly follow the same pattern of behaviour.Out of context quotes and snide remarks, good trawling.

I think it's quite sad that you went through every recent topic I'd posted to and made some snide remark.

Good form. But what exactly is your problem?

And BTW, I didn't see any remark that was 'out of order' here. My first point about the LWhiners might just have tongue in cheek, hence the '  '. But Staga didn't see it that way.

Also, if someone calls me a 'home-commie' (I still haven't a clue what that means) I'm not going to let it pass.

In that discussion on Rudel and the Stuka, you claim I started the whole war crimes discussion - I suggest you read it from top to bottom. Not only will you find it wasn't me who started it, but I wasn't the only one contributing.

A Me-163 would be nice if used as Spooky said.

system: a new smell has appeared
system: extremely volitile and reactive fuel in cockpit
system: you are being dissolved

Bring it on!  HQ only.  Maybe only so many are allowed up at once.  (a cheap perk would encourage smart use)

The late model 109G10 that we already have, has the exact same performance as a 109K4.

The Stuka, both standard and Tankbusting.
Then the 262...yeahhh
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Henschel Hs129...

Not on the list you say?

It would be the ultimate close support and ground attack aircraft..

Types of Armaments:
B-1/R1: 2 7.92 MG17, 2 20mm MG 151/20, plus two 110lb or 48 fragmentation bombs.

R2: 30mm Mk101 clipped underneath and was the first aircraft to use a 30mm gun in action.

R3: Ventral box of four MG17s.

R4: Up to two 551lb bombs.

R5: Photo recce

B-2: Changed the inbuilt MG17 for MG131s and other subtypes had many kinds of armament including the 37mm BK 3-7 and 75mm BK 7-5 with muzzle about 8 feet ahead of the nose.

"The most novel armament, used against Russian armour with results that were often devastating, was a battery of six smooth-bore 75mm tubes firing recoilless shells down and to the rear with automatic triggering as aircraft flew over metal objects."

Also germany employed 50kg hollow charge anti armour bombs which were apparently dropped over tank staging areas and were very effective.
