Early war tank set
« on: September 29, 2009, 11:02:37 PM »
I was looking over the vehicles, and it seems like we need some more earlywar tanks.

I propose the Panzer III, and M3 stuart light tank.

How the HELL did I forget that one? I'm not even joking. And wasn't it the M3 grant?

And I agree Raptor, we do need some jap tanks, and maybe their troop barge, and halftrack to go along with it?

Like the Type 1 Ho-Ha halftrack.

No ideas for tanks or ampibous vehicle other than the hadatsu barges. If you see a good one post it here. I'll post the wiki page...

Yes to all but the motercycle maybe the kettinkrad for MW or LW. And we already have the panzer IV.

So our list is:

PanzerIII
M3 Stuart
PanzerI
Matilda mk2
CrusaderI
MarderII
Char 1B
Italian 90mm autocane (we need a portal high caliber AA gun)
M3 75mm GMC
M13/40
M13/41
Pz38t

Any objections before we start weeding out the ones we want?

Oh, and I'd be a little supprised if we got it but, the M12 155mm "Long tom" gun carrier as a midwar GV.

"Tanks" carrying only MGs would be rather useless in a tank-on-tank situation, as they were meant to engage infantry. I believe even early war tanks were built to take small arms fire, which would be worsened by the lack of metal fatigue in AH's armor modeling.

I suppose the rest could be considered "cannons..." Been spending too much time around a Tiger. :D

hehehehe. Remember, this is early war set. A 37mm cannon will be adequat against its contemporaries.

And while I'm on the subject, can we get the T34 changed to MW? I know it would technically qualify for EW, but it came in at the end as RC pointed out, AND were filling out the set here so I'll add the BT-7/7a to the list
